About the role We are seeking a strong-judgement, fast-moving operator to lead meaningful transformation at the core of a scaling, global company. The primary goal of this role is to translate strategic vision into scalable execution. In close partnership with the CEO and COO, the Business Transformation Lead will drive continuous process improvement and take end-to-end ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives from scoping through to delivery, to deliver tangible impact across the organisation. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that requires both depth and range. You will be expected to step into ambiguous or under-defined problems and have the cognitive agility to build a clear understanding of what is happening and why, in order to design practical, scalable solutions. You will then drive those solutions through the organisation, working across teams to ensure they are delivered and adopted. Success in this role requires both strong critical thinking and execution discipline. You are comfortable diving into complex operational challenges, but equally focused on turning insight them into action and driving momentum. Role Responsibilities Whilst every role in a startup has a degree of flexibility over time, here is what we see as the role’s main responsibilities: - Cross-Functional Transformation Ownership - Own the end-to-end scoping and delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives* and ensure they don’t stall or drift as complexity increases. This includes: - - Partnering closely with the Perchy Leadership Team, absorbing context quickly and translating key strategy bets and priorities into scoped initiatives, with clear plans and next steps. - Align efforts by connecting across commercial, product, engineering, service delivery and operational teams. - Strengthen initiative execution mechanics by surfacing ownership gaps, clarifying dependencies, aligning ambition with capacity and driving timelines. - Depending on the initiative, you may be owning key deliverables or driving them through the teams. *Examples of initiatives we’ve recently had include launching new service lines or products, evolving the operating model, identifying and resolving inefficiencies in core processes, and designing and deploying AI- and automation-driven solutions and large-scale systems and tooling implementations. - Process Design, Continuous Improvement & Adoption - Raising the bar on operational excellence to keep pace with company growth. This includes: - - Identifying gaps, bottlenecks, and structural weaknesses - and fixing them! - Map and redesign end-to-end workflows to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on manual or ad hoc processes. - Lead rollout of new processes, tools and operating models across teams, ensuring clarity and alignment. - Drive adoption through communication, training and enablement, and ensure changes are embedded, not just launched. - Automation & AI Enablement - Be a key driver on our ongoing journey to become AI & automation driven. This includes partnering with teams across the business** to: - - Identify opportunities for automation and AI across operational workflows. - Design fully agentic or human-in-the-loop processes. - Educate and enable teams for effective adoption. - Ensure automation and AI deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and scalability. **Whilst you could support across functions, we initially expect a significant proportion of time to be spent with Service Delivery teams that deliver the relocator experience. About You Individuals well suited to this role will demonstrate strengths in the following capabilities: - Structured Problem Solving - You bring clarity to ambiguity, breaking down complex problems into actionable steps and prioritising effectively. - Excellent & Fast Critical Judgement - You make high-quality decisions with incomplete information, balancing speed, quality and scalability. - Execution Ownership & Bias to Action - You take full ownership of outcomes and consistently translate plans into delivered results, managing scope and maintaining momentum in complex environments. - Systems Thinking & Continuous Improvement - You identify how processes and workflows can be improved end-to-end, and design scalable solutions that remove inefficiencies and structural bottlenecks. - Cross-Functional Influence - You align stakeholders across teams, navigate competing priorities and drive coordinated progress on shared goals. - Highly Organised & Operationally Disciplined – You maintain visibility across multiple initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, timelines and follow-through. - Lean into Change - You are energised by ambiguity and continuous change, and are motivated to improve how the business operates. - Commercial & Business Awareness – You understand trade-offs between efficiency, customer experience and business impact, and make decisions grounded in company performance. Whilst not necessary, people who will be awesome in this role likely have similar prior experience, including: - Worked closely with senior leadership, translating high-level direction into clear plans and actionable next steps. - Operated effectively and thrived in a high-growth or ambiguous environment - Introduced automation, tooling or AI into workflows - Identified recurring operational issues and fixed the root cause. - Owned and delivered a complex cross-functional initiative end-to-end. - Coordinated multiple teams to deliver shared outcomes, maintaining progress and alignment across different priorities and stakeholders. Candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, but some relevant previous roles might include Strategy & Operations or Business Operations roles at scaling tech companies, or consulting roles with a strong focus on implementation and execution.
