Job Description

Accountant, Customer Support Specialist

OpsArmy

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries • Perform accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions • Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes • Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies • Support payroll processing and expense tracking • Assist with tax preparation and coordination with external accountants/auditors • Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2 to 5+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a US-based company or clients)
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with US clients or in a remote setup
  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Gusto, ADP)
  • Experience with financial analysis or budgeting
