Role Description We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Director of API Integrations to lead the strategy, development, and execution of API integration initiatives across Caiz’s blockchain infrastructure and ecosystem. This role is critical in ensuring our platforms integrate seamlessly with partners, financial systems, third-party tools, and decentralized applications. You will oversee the full lifecycle of API integrations — from architecture and security to documentation and partner onboarding — and lead a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver robust and scalable API solutions. Responsibilities: - Define and execute the API integration strategy aligned with Caiz's ecosystem goals, including banking partners, payment processors, DeFi platforms, wallets, and identity providers. - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and well-documented RESTful and WebSocket APIs. - Manage end-to-end API lifecycle: discovery, onboarding, versioning, governance, and retirement. - Collaborate with product, DevOps, and backend teams to ensure seamless cross-platform interoperability. - Establish and enforce API security standards, rate limits, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), and data privacy protocols. - Identify integration opportunities and work closely with business development and partnership teams to support technical onboarding of new partners. - Ensure high reliability, performance, and uptime of all API services through testing, monitoring, and SLAs. - Stay current with industry trends, API-first strategies, and new technologies to continuously improve integration capabilities. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in backend development, API architecture, and systems integration. - 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role managing API engineering or integration teams. - Proven experience designing and deploying APIs in fintech, crypto, or blockchain environments. - Proficient in RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL (a plus), Webhooks, and microservices. - Strong knowledge of API management platforms (e.g., Kong, Postman, Apigee, AWS API Gateway). - Experience with crypto protocols, Web3 integrations, and blockchain data structures. - Familiarity with middleware, authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), and security practices. Requirements - Experience integrating with banking systems (Open Banking, PSD2 APIs). - Understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain APIs and Web3 frameworks (e.g., Web3.js, Ethers.js). - Familiarity with Sharia-compliant finance or Islamic fintech is a strong plus. - Track record of leading API strategies for global, multi-region tech platforms. About the Role Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director of Institutional Giving is a senior fundraising leader responsible for securing and expanding major institutional support for Climate Central. This role represents a strategic evolution from a traditional foundation relations function to a broader institutional fundraising portfolio that includes foundations, corporate philanthropy, philanthropic collaboratives, and emerging funding streams such as sports philanthropy. The Director manages a portfolio of high-value institutional donors while building a robust pipeline of new prospects—including funders beyond traditional climate philanthropy. The role leads the full lifecycle of institutional fundraising, from prospect identification and strategic cultivation through proposal development, grant management, and reporting. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, development colleagues, and program staff, the Director ensures Climate Central delivers compelling proposals, clear impact reporting, and high-quality stewardship that strengthens long-term partnerships and expands the organization’s institutional donor base.
