• Bring your expertise as an underwriter to cross-functional Ladder work teams. • Evaluate medical and personal history on life insurance applications up to $8 million face amount. • Participate in the development of the Underwriting team members. • Collaborate with the Underwriting Audit team to enhance Underwriting Guidelines and clearly communicate audit finding feedback to the Underwriting team. • Work closely with the Customer Experience and Compliance teams to answer underwriting related questions and share underwriting knowledge. • Be comfortable both underwriting and applying your knowledge to systems and processes. • Report to the Head of Underwriting.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of people leadership experience
  • 8+ years of life insurance underwriting experience at a leading carrier or reinsurer.
  • Experience in developing underwriting guidelines and programs.
  • Demonstrated interest in innovation and better serving end users.
  • Experience with accelerated underwriting and third-party evidence providers is a plus.

Description The role is responsible for acting as a single point of contact for Loss Mitigation activities. This role works directly with borrowers experiencing financial hardships to identify homeownership retention options for eligible FNMA, FHLMC, USDA, FHA, and VA loans.
