The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate a genuine desire and passion for Public Cloud, client service and automation. - Act as the lead engineer on large or complex client deploy projects - Act as the lead engineer on product engineering projects to further develop our service - Provide Public Cloud subject matter expertise advice and assistance to pre-sales architects - Installation, configuration, and ongoing management of O/S and Public Cloud services. - Implementing and maintaining custom client machine images and centralized configuration management to enable quick repeatable builds and auto-scaling. - Maintaining high availability through proactive measures. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. - Ensuring clients & partners are updated on current status of work and issues. - Raise, investigate and resolve problems and known errors in line with the problem management process. - Ability and willingness to proactively improve ways of working, automation and processes via our continual improvement Kanban board. - Partake in an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 4th line support for Ensono’s Public Cloud clients. - Proactively keep up to date on Public Cloud services and developments. - Buddy new members of the team and train other teams - Act as team leader and technical escalation point in Manager’s absence We want all new Associates to succeed in their roles at Ensono. Required Qualifications - 8+ years’ experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g. high profile websites or enterprise infrastructure) essential. - 3+ years’ experience engineering, architecting, or supporting Public Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), with GCP experience strongly preferred. - Excellent O/S knowledge and experience in Linux or Windows with basic knowledge of the other. MCSE/RHCE or equivalent level of knowledge preferred. - Excellent O/S knowledge with strong hands‑on experience in Linux (must‑have) and working knowledge of Windows. RHCE/MCSE or equivalent practical experience preferred. - Proven experience implementing and supporting Public Cloud‑based services such as EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudFront, ElastiCache, WAF, or equivalent services in Azure/GCP. - Strong automation and scripting capability (must‑have) using one or more of Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Perl, with a DevOps‑first mindset. - Experience building and maintaining scalable, highly available, and auto‑scaled environments using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). - Experience working with or supporting containerized environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS/ECS, or equivalent platforms. - Strong client‑facing skills with outstanding written and verbal communication, able to explain complex technical concepts simply to technical and non‑technical stakeholders - Holds current Public Cloud Associate and Professional‑level certifications. - Holds at least one Public Cloud Specialty certification (e.g., Security, Networking). - Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, including week‑long engagements when required. - A degree in a computing‑related discipline preferred or equivalent experience and demonstrated capability.
