Lead Talent Acquisition

Pennylane

Role Description We're looking for an experienced Recruitment Lead to lead recruitment for our Product & Design teams at Pennylane. We are planning on about 70 roles to fill in 2026. This is a leadership role that combines strategic stakeholder management with team development. You'll be leading a team of 5 experienced Senior TAs (including 3 permanent team members) on what's arguably one of the most challenging recruitment markets out there: Product and Design. You'll partner closely with our CPO (one of the founders) and Product/Design leaders on hiring strategy, coach and develop your team, and act as the escalation point for complex stakeholder situations. What you'll be doing - Leading the team: - Manage and develop a team of 5 Senior TAs who focus exclusively on Product & Design recruitment, supporting their progression within our TA career path framework. - Coach your team through challenging searches: help them remove blockers, think creatively about sourcing, and celebrate the wins (because they matter). - Create an environment where experienced recruiters can do their best work, even when things get tough. - Collaborate closely with the Tech TA Lead to share best practices and ensure alignment across teams. - Strategic partnering with Product leadership: - Invest significant time building trusted relationships with our CPO and senior Product/Design leaders: your partnership with them will be critical to the success of Product & Design hiring. - Ensure alignment on hiring priorities and strategy across Product and Design. - Reinforce the relationships your team builds with stakeholders and ensure alignment on hiring priorities and strategy. - Step in as the escalation point when situations get complex or need senior attention. - Driving performance: - Manage your team's OKRs and ensure they align with company goals. - Track Product & Design hiring plans closely: monitor progress, flag risks early, and ensure we hit our hiring targets on time. - Use data to identify bottlenecks, prioritize effectively, and make informed decisions on where to focus efforts. - Keep the Head of TA updated on progress, roadblocks, and areas of improvement. Qualifications - You've successfully managed a recruitment team: not just coached or mentored, but led recruiters day-to-day, driven performance, and developed experienced team members. - A proven track record of recruiting for Product and Design roles (agency or in-house). - You understand why Product/Design recruitment is challenging and have creative strategies to attract scarce talent. - You know how to build trust with demanding C-level stakeholders, navigate complex situations, and push back when needed. - You're data-driven and process-oriented, but pragmatic enough to adapt when circumstances require it. - Strong communicator in French (fluent) and English (at least B2).
