Squarespace is seeking a highly experienced and commercially adept Strategic Partner Manager to manage and expand a critical portfolio of reseller accounts. This role sits within the Reseller Portfolio of the Business Development team and is central to maximizing a current book of business valued at 8 figures in annual bookings. You will be the primary commercial owner for these top-tier accounts, driving long-term strategic alignment, navigating complex contractual relationships, and ensuring mutual value creation. The successful candidate must possess exceptional executive presence, demonstrating the ability to command confidence and influence outcomes with senior external leaders. You will need to expertly leverage influence without direct authority across internal teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance) to ensure the success of your partners. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen, empathetic partner advocacy, and strategic problem-solving. This role is based in New York headquarters or remotely in an approved US state and reports to the Associate Director of Business Development. You’ll Get To… - Strategic Account Management & Financial Stewardship - Commercial Ownership: Directly manage and grow a portfolio of strategic reseller partners responsible for tens of millions of dollars in annual bookings, prioritizing retention, growth, and long-term partner performance. - Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain direct, trusted relationships with senior executive counterparts at key partner organizations such as Google, proactively identifying and resolving complex business, technical, or operational issues. - Triaging & Advocacy: Lead the internal and external resolution of issues, demonstrating empathy for the partner’s perspective while protecting Squarespace’s interests, and serving as the primary internal advocate for partner success. - Contract Negotiation & Optimization: Identify opportunities within existing agreements to optimize commercial terms, expand scope, and lead complex renegotiations to maximize mutual financial benefit. - Single Ownership: Maintain responsibilities on details of the partners and their complexities, becoming the single source of truth for all internal teams looking for information or advice Strategic Influence & Business Development - Internal Influence: Partner closely with internal Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance teams to communicate partner needs and market opportunities, ensuring partner requirements are accurately considered in product roadmap prioritization. - Business Intelligence & Forecasting: Develop and present rigorous financial projections, operational revenue models, and KPIs specific to the reseller portfolio to executive leadership. - Strategic Growth: Continuously identify and develop opportunities for expanded product reselling or new commercial initiatives with existing partners to unlock latent growth potential. - Executive Representation: Represent Squarespace in external meetings and internal strategy sessions, maintaining a polished executive presence and articulating a clear vision for the future of the reseller channel. Who We’re Looking For - Core Experience - 8+ years of professional experience in strategic partnerships, account management, business development, or commercial strategy, ideally managing a portfolio with multi-million dollar revenue responsibility. - Proven experience navigating and influencing large, complex partner organizations, effectively driving outcomes without direct authority. - Demonstrated ability to structure, negotiate, and execute complex contractual agreements (e.g., term sheets, licensing, revenue-share models).
