GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for managing learning content logistics, administering learning platforms and SharePoint sites, coordinating virtual instructor-led training, and supporting training vendors and financial processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Learning Content & Systems Administration - Track, maintain, and manage learning objects to ensure content remains current and is retired appropriately. - Coordinate with content owners to manage updates, reviews, and retirements of learning materials. - Prepare and maintain clear documentation outlining learning standards, processes, and user guidance using Microsoft Office 365 tools (e.g., LMS access instructions). - Training Operations & SharePoint Support - Provide day-to-day administrative support for RXO training teams. - Maintain and update SharePoint sites, including onboarding and manager toolkit resources. - Administer survey tools to support training feedback and evaluation efforts. - Training Logistics & Coordination - Drive end-to-end logistics for virtual instructor-led training (VILT), including: - Scheduling and managing meeting invitations - Sending pre- and post-session communications - Managing rosters and attendance tracking - Coordinating pre-work and follow-up materials - Materials & Branding Support - Assist with routine training material updates, including light branding and graphic enhancements to ensure consistency with organizational standards. - Vendor & Financial Management - Manage third-party training vendor credits. - Coordinate invoice processing and vendor payments in partnership with internal finance teams. Track and maintain accurate records related to training expenditures. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Minimum Required Education: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Minimum Required Experience: - 3+ years' experience with administration, learning or training teams - Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, assigned activities, fast-paced environments - Excellent organization, planning, judgment, and time management skills; can work independently and/or with leadership direction when needed - Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a global audience. - Desirable Education/Experience: - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. - Intermediate proficiency with SharePoint, including site maintenance and content management. - Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables. - Intermediate PowerPoint skills for updating and formatting training materials. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a global audience. - Comfort working independently in a remote environment while collaborating cross-functionally. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Basic Computer Skills - Strong Fluency user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Accurately inputs information into and retrieves from the computer. - Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed. - Demonstrates ability to create meaningful reports in MS Excel. - Other Technical / Computer Skills - Thorough knowledge of software applications applicable to position/business unit - Acts as subject matter expert and provides training, troubleshooting and other support for software applications managed by business unit. Role Description The Global Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer will be part of the Global MEL team in New York and work towards strengthening methods and protocols around project design, management, monitoring and evaluation to ensure practices generate evidence of impact. The Global MEL Officer will take the lead in designing, implementing, and integrating Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) systems for countries without dedicated M&E staff, ensuring alignment with Orbis’s global standards and objectives. The role involves: - Providing strategic guidance in adapting MEL frameworks to local contexts. - Incorporating global projects and ensuring effective data collection, monitoring, and evaluation processes. - Addressing data quality challenges and ensuring alignment with global MEL priorities. - Mentoring country MEL managers and building MEL capacity across regions. - Contributing to global MEL initiatives to drive continuous improvement in systems, tools, and organizational impact. Qualifications - Master’s degree or equivalent in public health, statistics, economics, international affairs, social science, or international development. - Minimum 5 years of experience in coordinating, developing and managing M&E systems for INGOs. - Preference for candidates experienced in public health, health systems, and eye health care. - Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in quantitative and qualitative methods, M&E planning, M&E system improvement, evaluation methods and processes, data use and data visualization. - Knowledge of the international eye health care sector and experience working in Africa, Asia, or Latin America and the Caribbean is advantageous. - Working knowledge of basic Excel and statistical analysis software (Epi info, SPSS, STATA, etc.) is desirable. - Strong in the development of simple project databases (e.g., Excel, Access) and data management. - Proven experience in coordinating or leading project evaluations or surveys.
