What you will do: - Visibility of all inbound/outbound, domestic and international freight traffic (i.e., truckload, LTL, intermodal, ocean and airfreight) for responsible accounts, evaluating rates and routes - Host internal reviews and works with business unit management to optimize transportation and logistics services, specific to customer requirements - Preparation of quotes & one-off quotes in CW1 - Monitor timely payments with accounting - Support creation & implementation of COP’s for key accounts and monitors compliance - Support QBR and general meeting preparation - Responsible internal & external reporting requirements as well as data quality control - Accountable for meeting & exceeding customer KPI’s aligned with internal KPI’s, quality and year-over-year internal freight savings - Ensures that all customer difficulties, concerns or problems involving freight are timely investigated and properly resolved - Maintain knowledge of best practices including the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods - Support CRM maintenance: communications, opportunities and sales lead creation - MS Teams channel maintenance - Support RFI’s & RFQ’s and coordination with tender management - Communicate relevant information to the global Rohlig & agent network - Share & request status updates with country management as well as global key account management - This position is a corporate position and is remote. Working from a Rohlig office might be required on certain projects. What you bring: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong track record in customer satisfaction and customer facing communication - Excellent operational knowledge in international freight forwarding (Minimum 5 Years) - Good network of logistics vendors both on the local and national level - Strong ability to quote independent, fast and correct on a highly competitive and accurate rate level for all transport modes - Knowledge of various quote platforms - Advanced CW1 experience - Strong logistical, analytical problem-solving skills - Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure while meeting deadlines - Willingness to work flexible or extended hours when required to resolve freight-related emergencies - Willingness to travel (if needed) - Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work with teams and remote direct reports. This role will report to the VP Global Controller, and will play a critical part in building a global, well-controlled, and scalable finance function that supports both strategic growth and operational precision. In this role, we are looking for someone who has strong experience in and can take ownership of the following areas: Financial Consolidations & Reporting - Preparing consolidated financial statements in a multicurrency environment - Partnering cross-functionally to ensure end-to-end financial accuracy - Overseeing internal and external reporting, including preparation of lender reporting packages and coordination with FP&A. - Supporting statutory and tax filing requirements across international entities. External Audit Management - Managing the audit process, including preparing audited financial statements and PBC documentation. - Ensuring Audit readiness and serving as the primary contact for auditors Policy, Process & Controls - Leading the implementation and management of the internal control framework. - Promoting standardization and automation within accounting operations. - Developing global accounting policies and procedures and overseeing global close governance - Assisting with the implementation and optimization of Netsuite ERP and other financial systems. Qualifications Are you our new Financial controller? - Chartered Accountant required - Big 4 or national firm audit experience - 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience in a global, PE-backed company - Experience managing consolidation processes in a multicurrency environment - Strong experience managing internal controls and driving improvements - Deep understanding of Dutch GAAP / IFRS, and financial reporting standards - Strong experience with modern financial systems, experience with Netsuite is a strong plus - Knowledge about sales tax, income tax & transfer pricing is a plus - Demonstrated success leading global close and internal control programs - Strong communicator, collaborator, and operator across time zones and cultures - Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and close calendar management. • Lead the transition toward GAAP-like accrual accounting and stronger revenue recognition practices. • Design and document accounting policies across revenue, accruals, prepaid expenses, commissions, software capitalization, and reserves as needed. • Partner with Finance, Sales, Legal, and Operations to ensure customer contracts are reflected correctly in invoicing and accounting treatment. • Build reliable AR, AP, expense reimbursement, and vendor payment workflows with clear controls and approval paths. • Improve audit readiness, support tax and compliance workstreams, and coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and advisors. • Evaluate and improve systems, including ERP/accounting stack, spend management tools, and close tooling. • Hire, coach, and manage future accounting team members over time.
