POSITION OVERVIEW: The Field Service Technician will lead the field service processes of the GE Vernova Solar and Storage Solutions business, reporting to the Field Services Leader. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide on-site services and technical direction for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of power electronics including solar inverters and battery energy storage systems. - Work scope includes electrical, instrumentation, and control system, including cable routing and terminations, loop checks, instrument calibration, safety and alarm system settings, software installation and settings, system start up, and system tests. - Provide direct service work and technical direction to skilled labor performing work at customer sites, and assure that the work is completed in a safe manner, of the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with GE Vernova procedures, manuals, and work instructions. - Drive customer experience trough effective communication, contract compliance, and meeting expectations with respect to safety, quality, and delivery for services products. - Meet GE business expectations by leading business operational processes involving safety, quality, schedule, and cost for service business obligations. - Communicate goals, deliverables, strategies, risks, and opportunities as required internally within GEV. - Protect GE’s reputation and technology in the market place. - Promote a working environment which encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in all services management metrics. QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum college degree (Bachelors or Associates Engineering preferred) or equivalent years experience - Minimum 2 years of power electronics field service, manufacturing, or test experience (GE experience preferred) - Solar, Storage, and/or power electronics product knowledge and business process experience - Proficient in English language, both verbal and written - 70% travel required - Position will be based in the USA, with domestic travel DESIRED: - Strong communication skills - Prior Lean continuous improvement experience The base pay range for this position is Total Base Pay Range $80,000 - 100,000 Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is not eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
