Area Sales Manager – Specification Heating & Water Solution

ESA - Electronic Security Association

• Sell Honeywell Home and Braukmann heating and water solutions through merchant networks to Social Housing & Local Authority providers, M&E Contractors, Regional New-Build Developers, medium to large contractors, and other key partners. • Winning new business while maintaining and protecting key specifications and existing sales across the region. • Achieve regional sales targets through proactive specification strategies, conversion activities, and margin expansion initiatives. • Build strong relationships with key merchant partners to generate leads and joint business opportunities. • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage special pricing agreements, pipeline visibility, opportunity tracking, and reporting. • Provide accurate and timely updates on specification wins, project progress, and forecasts. • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, sharing insights with senior leadership. • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant building regulations and energy efficiency standards. • Deliver product presentations, CPD sessions, and training to customers and partners. • Represent Resideo at exhibitions, trade shows, and regional events to promote solutions and generate new sales leads.

Job Requirements

  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills with senior decision-makers.
  • Proven track record in specification-led sales within the heating, water, or related building services sectors.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Full Driving license.

Role Description We’re seeking a driven, detail‑oriented Inside Sales Representative who is early in their sales career and ready to step into a role with real ownership, accountability, and impact. This position focuses on transactional upgrades, expansion opportunities, renewal support, and targeted sales campaigns across existing customer accounts. This is not a cold‑calling role. You’ll work with active customers, manage live opportunities, and partner closely with Account Executives to support expansion strategies and active sales cycles. Designed as a development path toward a full Account Executive role, this position provides hands‑on experience owning revenue, managing pipeline, and operating within enterprise sales processes. Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish - First 30 Days: Getting Grounded - Develop a strong understanding of Naviant’s solutions, pricing models, and common upgrade and expansion paths. - Learn sales processes, Salesforce workflows, forecasting expectations, and pipeline hygiene standards. - Build working relationships with Account Executives and internal partners across sales, marketing, and operations. - Begin supporting inbound customer inquiries related to renewals, upgrades, and expansion opportunities. - Demonstrate strong organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail in all customer and internal interactions. - Taking Ownership - Independently own transactional upgrade opportunities and core product add-ons within assigned existing accounts. - Manage inbound renewal questions and customer expansion inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. - Execute targeted sales campaigns across existing accounts, tracking engagement and opportunity progression. - Ensure all opportunities, activities, and customer interactions are properly documented in Salesforce. - Support Account Executives by managing follow-ups, proposals, and customer commitments coming out of active sales cycles. - Begin proactively identifying expansion opportunities within the current customer base. - At 90 Days and Beyond: Driving Impact - Consistently close transactional deals and contribute measurable revenue through upgrades, add-ons, and expansions. - Maintain clear visibility into the transactional pipeline and provide updates that support accurate forecasting. - Partner closely with Account Executives on expansion strategies and account planning. - Help coordinate quarterly business reviews by preparing data, tracking follow-ups, and supporting execution. - Track and report on campaign effectiveness, opportunity progression, and revenue impact. - Demonstrate readiness for increased responsibility by operating with confidence, ownership, and process discipline. - Continue developing enterprise sales skills in preparation for progression into a full Account Executive role within 18–24 months. Qualifications - Experience closing small deals or supporting high‑volume BDR motions, with a strong interest in owning revenue. - Ability to identify and act on expansion opportunities within existing customer relationships. - Highly organized and comfortable working within defined sales processes. - Effective partner to Account Executives and cross‑functional teams. - Experience supporting or executing sales and marketing campaigns. - High degree of energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, and confidence.
