- Location: United States (remote) - Department: Growth Marketing - Reports To: Growth Marketing About the Role - We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive pipeline generation through a combination of strategic outbound prospecting and lead nurturing. - This role sits within the Growth Marketing team and plays a critical part in driving new business opportunities by engaging prospects, nurturing interest over time, and creating high-quality meetings for the sales team. - You will be responsible for identifying and engaging target accounts, uncovering business challenges, and initiating meaningful conversations with decision-makers across the food, certification, and regulatory landscape. - This is a performance-driven, front-line revenue role suited for someone who is proactive, persistent, and comfortable operating in a high-activity, target-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Prospecting & Pipeline Generation - Execute multi-channel outbound prospecting (phone, email, LinkedIn, video, and creative outreach) to generate new business opportunities - Identify and engage key stakeholders within target accounts and buying groups - Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly targets for meetings booked and pipeline generated Lead Nurturing & Engagement - Manage and nurture early-stage leads and contacts over time through structured outreach and follow-up - Engage prospects who are not yet sales-ready and move them toward qualified conversations - Support follow-up and qualification of website-driven agentic AI inquiries where applicable - Maintain consistent engagement through personalized, multi-touch cadences Discovery & Qualification - Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, challenges, and priorities - Apply structured qualification frameworks to assess opportunity quality - Clearly communicate value propositions aligned to customer pain points Account & Stakeholder Engagement - Navigate organizations to identify and engage multiple decision-makers and influencers - Build early-stage relationships and generate interest across target accounts - Personalize outreach strategies to increase engagement and response rates Campaign & Event Alignment - Partner with Marketing to align prospecting efforts with active campaigns and content - Support event-driven prospecting, including pre-event outreach, meeting booking, and post-event follow-up Collaboration with Sales - Work closely with Account Executives to align on target accounts and outreach strategy - Ensure seamless handoff of qualified opportunities with clear context and next steps Pipeline Management & Reporting - Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline updates in Salesforce and sales engagement tools - Manage outreach cadences and continuously optimize for conversion performance - Meet defined KPIs across activity, meetings, and pipeline contribution Market Intelligence & Feedback - Capture insights from prospect conversations and share feedback with sales and marketing teams - Contribute to improving messaging, targeting, and campaign effectiveness Required Qualifications - 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or SDR/BDR roles - Proven experience in cold outreach and pipeline generation - Based in the United States Preferred Experience - Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar platforms - Experience managing longer lead nurture cycles and outbound prospecting simultaneously - Exposure to event-based prospecting and campaign alignment Key Skills - Outbound Prospecting & Cold Outreach - Lead Nurturing & Multi-Touch Engagement - Discovery & Qualification - Pipeline Generation - CRM & Sales Engagement Tools - Communication & Relationship Building - Time Management & Activity Prioritization Success Metrics - Meetings booked and held - Opportunities created - Lead-to-opportunity conversion rates - Outbound activity and engagement metrics - Pipeline contribution from BDR outbound activity This is a remote role with occasional travel for team meetings etc.
