We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud / DevOps / Platform Engineer who operates with a high level of autonomy and technical leadership to design, build, and operate scalable, secure AWS environments. This role is ideal for experienced engineers who not only have deep hands-on AWS expertise, but can also independently drive architecture decisions, lead implementations end-to-end, and proactively identify improvements across cloud infrastructure, networking, and automation. You will partner with DevOps, Security, and Application teams while serving as a key technical owner for cloud platform reliability, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities - Lead the design, deployment, and ongoing optimization of AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform) - Own AWS networking architecture and implementation, including: - VPC design, subnet strategy, and routing - Client VPN and site-to-site VPN - Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways - Security Groups and Network ACLs - VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, and PrivateLink - Architect and support hybrid and multi-account AWS environments at scale - Independently diagnose and resolve complex networking issues, including VPN, Direct Connect, and routing challenges - Drive CI/CD and infrastructure automation initiatives in collaboration with DevOps teams - Proactively monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, scalability, and availability - Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures - Ensure adherence to AWS security best practices and compliance standards - Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and architectural diagrams Required Skills & Experience - 5–8+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering - Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services, including: - EC2, VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, Route 53 - S3, RDS, CloudWatch - Advanced networking knowledge, including: - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S - CIDR design, subnetting, and routing strategies - Firewalls, load balancing, and secure network design - Proven experience designing and managing Infrastructure as Code solutions - Strong Linux systems knowledge - Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues - Experience operating in multi-account AWS environments (AWS Organizations, cross-account access) Education (Required) - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited university in LATAM (e.g., Argentina, Chile, México, or equivalent) is required Soft Skills - Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts in English - Proactive, self-directed, and highly accountable - Collaborative approach with the ability to influence across teams For US-based roles - What you’ll get: - Competitive salary + annual performance-based bonus eligibility - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) with company match - Paid time off and company holidays For Mexico-based roles - What you’ll get: - Competitive salary + annual performance bonus eligibility - Christmas Bonus (Aguinaldo): 30 days - Major medical expenses and life insurance - Paid time off and holidays (per local policy) For all roles: - Professional development and growth opportunities - Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven team shaping the future of clean energy - Equal Opportunity: ON.energy is committed to equal employment opportunity and to maintaining a work environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation. - Accommodations: If you need an accommodation during the application process, email recruitment@onenergystorage.com - Benefits vary by role and location and are subject to change.
