• Research, write, and maintain clear, current, and practical legal content that reflects market practice, customer needs, and business objectives. • Review and edit content produced by colleagues and external expert contributors to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency. • Stay up to date with legal, practice, and market developments to keep content accurate, relevant, and aligned with business goals. • Apply your legal expertise to support the development of customer-focused, AI-powered legal solutions at Thomson Reuters. • Use your legal and editorial skills to support the development and application of internal AI editorial tools. • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the legal market, our customers and their emerging needs, and competitor offerings. • Engage effectively with customers, consultation boards, and contributors; collaborate across the business to provide insight into strategy, product development, sales, marketing, and technology. • Attend training events, conferences, and industry talks; network with customers, potential customers, and industry leaders. • Contribute to the development of Practical Law France and, more broadly, Practical Law. • Use your specialist legal knowledge to support wider Thomson Reuters teams, working with product management, sales, marketing, and technology as required.
Job Requirements
- French-qualified lawyer (Avocat) with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience as a commercial lawyer (Avocat) in a law firm or in-house in France.
- Substantial experience in French commercial law and practical commercial advisory work.
- Excellent writing skills in English, with a passion for producing accurate, concise legal guidance in plain English.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to effectively use a range of tools, including generative AI technologies, to improve productivity and accuracy.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects within the generative AI space and with new and emerging technologies.
- A curious outlook on the evolving intersection of AI and legal practice; adaptable and open to change.
- Practical experience using AI tools in legal work.
- Excellent command of online legal research databases.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity in a matrixed environment, with proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
