Summary: MediaNews Group is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, news-loving Page Designer to join its Colorado team. Our design hub is responsible for multiple papers, including The Denver Post, the Boulder Daily Camera, and the St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong news judgment and headline-writing capabilities. This is a remote role, but we have a strong preference for candidates living in or relocating to Colorado. We welcome resumes from both recent graduates and experienced designers. This is a remote job and candidates must live in CO, FL, MA, MN, OH, PA, or TX and work 10:30 AM – 6:30PM MST. What you will do: - Manage copy editing and headline writing, ensuring accuracy, style, and proper length - Promote visual storytelling through photographs, graphics, illustrations, and typography in a logical, organized layout - Confer regularly with editors regarding story play and visual presentation - Communicate with hub leadership regarding page design as needed - Develop a working knowledge of the specific publication being designed and how that relates to the reader - Communicate with the prepress and production departments regarding quality control issues and the output of negative - Responsible for the proof of ancillary publications - Communicate effectively with remote editors via appropriate channel - Produce classified pages and post content to the web if applicable to assignment - Curate, aggregate, and edit information from syndicated, news, community organizations, and residents to create the most complete publications possible - Learn applicable software/platforms that are specific to the hub department What you will bring: - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team - Well developed problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment - Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite - College degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent experience - Previous newspaper design experience is preferred - Proven skills in news judgment, typography, page design, headline hierarchies and editing of stories, graphics and photographs Benefits and Compensation: The hourly range is $17.50 - $18.75 or required city/county minimum wage. • Collaborate with design, engineering, animation, and production to support and implement the core gameplay vision through camera, controls, and character systems • Own and drive the development of the 3Cs, including player movement, camera behavior, aiming systems such as ADS, and input responsiveness • Prototype, implement, and iterate on player control schemes to ensure they feel intuitive, precise, and responsive across gameplay scenarios • Design and tune third-person camera systems that balance situational awareness, readability, and cinematic presentation • Work closely with animation and engineering to ensure character movement, transitions, and combat interactions feel grounded, fluid, and believable • Integrate 3Cs with gameplay systems such as shooting, cover, traversal, and squad-based mechanics to support tactical play • Test, debug, and iterate regularly on moment-to-moment gameplay, identifying issues with feel, readability, and responsiveness • Establish and maintain standards for gameplay feel, control responsiveness, and camera behavior across the project • Provide clear, constructive feedback on gameplay feel and player experience to help maintain quality and consistency • Mentor and support other designers, sharing best practices and helping elevate team understanding of 3Cs design • Anticipate dependencies and risks, working with cross-discipline partners to ensure smooth implementation and iteration

• Coordinates, schedules, and manages the daily activities within the Product Development Electrical Design team responsible for developing and creating parametric models and assemblies using CAD for various types of HVAC equipment—including conceptual designs. • Supervises Electrical Designers with the help and collaboration of the Manager, Design and Design Engineers to ensure the timely completion of assigned projects. • Provides technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship for the Electrical Design Team, and acts as liaison between the team and the Manager, Design. • Reviews schematics for designs and makes design recommendations. • Collaborates with other designers and engineers to ensure that the electrical system designs integrate seamlessly with other systems. • Provides support to production team during prototypes and production launch to facilitate seamless releases and is trusted as a point person or go to for manufacturing issues. • Seeks ways to implement new ideas and technologies. • Keeps pace with the processing of orders in-house (SPAS).
