Role Description The Supervisor, Product Owner provides leadership and direction to a team of Product Owners and Analysts while also managing a key product area. This role ensures consistent product management practices, alignment between product strategy and business objectives, and effective execution of product initiatives. The position is responsible for maintaining high-quality product documentation, representing customer needs, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to deliver valuable solutions. The Supervisor, Product Owner supports team members through coaching, performance management, and capability development to achieve department goals. - Leads and mentors a team of Product Owners and Analysts to ensure clarity of responsibilities, balanced workload distribution, and consistent delivery. - Supports the definition of product vision, goals, and roadmaps in partnership with product leadership. - Manages product backlogs by prioritizing features, enhancements, and defect resolution to meet business and customer needs. - Translates complex business needs into clear product requirements and user stories with defined acceptance criteria. - Collaborates with cross-functional partners to plan work, clarify requirements, and deliver solutions aligned with organizational strategy. - Communicates product progress, updates, and performance to stakeholders at all levels. - Incorporates customer insights, analytics, and market trends into product decisions to support continuous improvement. - Defines and monitors key performance indicators to assess product success and guide optimization efforts. - Performs other duties as assigned. - Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Qualifications - Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. - 3+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a related field. - Experience working in collaborative, iterative development environments. - 1+ years of leadership or mentoring experience preferred. - Any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. Requirements - Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop team members. - Excellent communication and stakeholder-collaboration skills. - Ability to translate business needs into clear and actionable product requirements. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to guide decisions. - Knowledge of product lifecycle management and iterative development practices. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high-quality documentation.
