Content Compliance Manager – OTC Supplements, Cosmetics
Strive Compounding Pharmacy
• Manage compliance content review for all OTC supplement and cosmetic assets. • Ensure all claims are truthful, not misleading, and properly substantiated in compliance with FDA, FTC, and other regulatory requirements. • Enforce clear boundaries between structure/function vs. disease claims, and cosmetic vs. supplement claims, including proper use of disclaimers and qualifiers. • Maintain and evolve a compliant claims library and standardized language guidelines across products and channels for Strive Pharmacy’s OTC products. • Provide proactive, practical guidance to Marketing and Product/Clinical teams to enable compliant messaging early and reduce rework. • Review and advise on product labels, e-commerce listings, influencer/affiliate/testimonial content, and before/after claims. • Identify and mitigate high-risk claims and marketing practices, staying current on FDA warning letters and FTC enforcement trends. • Develop and scale compliance frameworks including SOPs, workflows, and approval processes for OTC product claims and labeling review. • Train and support cross-functional teams on DSHEA compliance, FTC advertising rules, and supplement/cosmetic claim guardrails. • Maintain audit-ready documentation of content reviews, substantiation, and labeling decisions. • Track and improve key metrics (e.g., cycle time, first-pass approval, rework) to increase efficiency and accountability. • Serve as the internal expert on OTC content compliance, providing clear, actionable recommendations aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals.
Job Requirements
- PharmD, JD, MS, or equivalent regulatory/compliance experience.
- 3+ years of experience in dietary supplement, cosmetic, or OTC product compliance.
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, content review, or marketing/advertising/promotional compliance.
- Strong knowledge of DSHEA, OTC labeling and advertising regulations, and FDA/FTC enforcement of supplements and cosmetics.
- Experience reviewing product labels, product listings, and social media and influencer/affiliate content.
- Ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance.
- Strong claims review and risk assessment capabilities.
- Excellent communication and content editing skills, including precision with compliant language.
- Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to educate and influence toward compliant solutions.
- Solutions-oriented mindset that balances regulatory compliance with business objectives.
- Ability to manage concurrent priorities and deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and influencer/affiliate programs preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva, Asana, or content workflow tools preferred.
