POSITION SUMMARY CVS Health is currently seeking a Senior Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions for managing and optimizing Db2z and IMS databases within an organization. This role requires a strong knowledge of Db2z database administration, programming, and automation to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of database systems. Expectations For The Role: - Implementing structural changes through environments, access method analysis, application consulting - Optimize Db2z resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes, reorgs, Db2z support and deploy application releases - Building automation to improve legacy processes - Processing Database Support Requests and Change requests in production and non-production environments - Building and implementing database backup and recovery strategies - Preparing disaster recovery (DR) documentation and participating in DR activities - Maintains complex zOS Db2 databases with respect to JCL, DDL, Security and Db2 customer support - Provide technical training and consultation to other members of the IT organization - Support day to day monitoring and maintenance activities for Db2 z/OS - Support Db2 Function Level and Version Db2 z/OS Migrations and RSU upgrades - Respond to Audit requests and provide necessary documentation - 24/7 on-call support rotation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of hands on experience with Db2 z/OS administration - 3+ years with Db2 Administration Tools, Query Monitor, and Db2 Omegamon and in-depth knowledge of Db2 utilities such as LOAD, UNLOAD, RUNSTAT, REORG, COPY, RECOVERY and SPUFI. - 3+ years with SQL – Intermediate to Advanced experience with zOS Db2 performance tuning - 3+ years with JCL and scheduling DBA jobs - 3+ years with 24 X 7 Oncall support rotation - At least 1 year of data replication design and support skillset in a complex computing environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Strong Experience with zOS large system in Data Sharing Sysplex environment - Strong Communication skills - Service Now knowledge - Db2 Distributed support knowledge - zOS Db2 maintenance/upgrade support - Experience with stored procedures - REXX scripting experience - Tivoli Data Warehouse extract/offload process and reporting EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience) BUSINESS OVERVIEW Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $83,430.00 - $222,480.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
