Senior Analyst, Power Markets Modeling

• Maintain the short-term Production Cost Models with market and in-house views. • Oversee the daily backcast process ensuring appropriate weather and fuel inputs and integrating internal feedback on outages and topology. • Work with Market Operations and Origination teams to integrate in-house market-specific views. • Perform scenario analyses: efficiently specify, calculate and aggregate model scenarios to characterize input sensitivities. • Work with internal teams to develop an approach to modeling batteries and emerging large load generation patterns. • Analyze and determine drivers of Day Ahead and Real Time congestion market outcomes based on macro-fundamentals (supply, demand, renewables) and micro-fundamentals (specific transmission and generation outage impacts, bids, facility limits). • Identify model gaps by calibrating the model results to market outcomes and determine appropriate solutions. • Develop and maintain codebase for automated reporting, charting, benchmarking model results against actuals, and/or dashboard tools that communicate market insights, risks, and opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics or related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in electricity markets in a consulting, commercial, engineering role or experience at an ISO.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Must be effective working in a fast-paced team environment, and able to see any project through to completion.
- Competent programming skills including at least 3 years’ experience with numerical Python.

Job Description EAG is actively seeking a Analyst for our Medical Device team to assist in data interpretation of GCMS and LCMS instruments. Our laboratory in Maryland Heights, Missouri provides organic chemistry testing specializing in investigative analytical chemistry. Examples of this includes evaluating the label claims of consumer products, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals/nutritional supplements, contaminant identification, determining sources of off odors/flavors/colors, extractables and leachables of consumer electronics, testing medical devices and much, much more. *This individual can work remotely* Example of a case study: Client is attempting to get their medical device approved by FDA for market and clinical use. This requires chemical characterization by ISO 10993-18, a service offered by EAG Laboratories. Client sends the devices to EAG. The analytical team extracts the devices in various solvents, analyzes the extracts by LCMS and GCMS (and other techniques), and identifies all peaks (extractables) above a specified reporting limit. The extractables are ultimately assessed by a toxicologist for safety/risk. An individual in this role would be conducting the interpretation (identification) of the LCMS and/or GCMS extractable data. This would be high-throughput, moderate-paced, location-flexible work (primarily on-site, but able to be done remotely, as needed). Example of equipment used: Software relevant to LCMS and GCMS data interpretation: - Compound Discoverer - Trace Finder - Unknowns Analysis - Mass Hunter Employees are expected to comply with ISO 27001 standard and company requirements for Information security. Qualifications - MS degree in Chemistry/related field with 3+ years of industry experience or PhD in Chemistry/related field with 1+ years of industry experience. - LCMS and/or GCMS data interpretation is required. - Instrument operation alone is not sufficient - must have experience with data interpretation/compound identification. - LCMS/GCMS & laboratory experience/familiarity with several techniques. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel in particular. - Excellent professional, verbal, and written communication skills. - Excellent attention to detail & critical observer of results and processes. - An understanding of method development and validation processes.
