As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own a full life cycle of development and be a senior contributor on a team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of increasingly complex features that are correctly implemented and high quality. About the Role The Principal Software Engineer is a part of our Product and Engineering team who are at the forefront of keeping our customers safe from attacks and breaches. In this role you will be focussed on helping our customers seamlessly manage their security solutions as effectively and efficiently as possible, and ensuring our products are delivering a secure experience. In this role, you will: - Build, maintain, and release our well architected services by writing correct and clean code consistently and following best practices and conventions. You will understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your areas of expertise - Take an active role in the design and planning of upcoming features, our engineers are first class stakeholders in all parts of the development process - When required, partner with internal teams such as UX and Product Management who work deeply with our product to ensure we are understanding our customers needs - Continue to develop a deep understanding of our products in order to support our customers - Work with Practice specific technologies The skills you'll bring include: - 12+ years experience in software development using Java. Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, part of Evernorth Health Services, is seeking a Staff Pharmacists to join their team. This is a full time remote position. Ideal candidates must reside in AZ, FL, IN, OH, PA, or TN. During the approximate 6-month training period, the hours will be Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 6 pm Eastern Time for all candidates. Once training is completed, the shift hours will be Monday through Friday 11:00 am - 8:00 pm Eastern Time for all candidates. POSITION SUMMARY As a Staff Pharmacist with Accredo, you will be responsible for interpreting physicians’ prescriptions, contacting prescribers and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions and expediting processing of order. This position is responsible for maintaining and following regulatory guidelines. The Staff Pharmacist will track order status and outstanding issues as well as consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions. This individual may take calls from customers regarding lost orders or dispensing errors, as well as maintaining daily production, quality and service levels with varying work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. The Staff Pharmacist may also train less experienced pharmacists. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This role is a mixture of consult phone and offline functions with a strong focus on phone interactions with patients, prescribers, and other internal customers o Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. o Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions. o Contact doctors and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions such as drug strength, prescription directions, and drug name in order to expedite processing of orders. o Collaborate with prescribers closely to tailor overall infusion regimen for patients (pre-medications, adverse reaction medications, etc) o Verify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry. o Verify refilled prescriptions for accuracy and safety o Contact physicians for new and/or transfer prescriptions. o Consult with patients regarding the use of medications, potential drug interactions, as well as adverse reactions as well as ways to mitigate those reactions o Provide guidance to patients on stability of medications and safe use within professional guidelines o Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists. QUALIFICATIONS o Current resident state pharmacist license in good standing. o Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues. o Good oral and written communication skills and ability to ask for support when needed o Ability to read and interpret prescriptions. o Strong focus on customer service with a variety of patient interaction experiences o Strong focus on quality and accuracy while maintaining efficiency in process o Ability to manage time well and ensure good organization for timely progression through training and follow through for patient care o Ability to adapt in a changing environment o Flexibility in day-to-day functional work to accommodate business needs o Ability to navigate IT systems and troubleshoot basic IT issues independently o Ability to make independent decisions quickly to support patient care o Ability to take initiative when challenges arise o An interest in being a lifelong learner including learning new skills, receiving feedback and applying it with goal of continuous improvement ABOUT ACCREDO Through our range of health care products and services offered, Accredo team members provide in-depth care for patients with chronic health conditions.
