About Neon One At Neon One, we believe that technology is the key to building vibrant communities of generosity. As a leader in nonprofit software since 2004, we create intuitive solutions that help small and mid-sized nonprofits connect with people, build trust, and make good happen every day. Our culture is powered by empathy, innovation, and a shared mission to empower organizations making a difference. We operate with a customer-first mindset, take pride in extraordinary results, and grow together by supporting each other and embracing bold new ideas. If you’re passionate about using your skills to drive real impact and want to thrive in a collaborative, fully remote environment, Neon One is the place for you. About the Role Reporting to the Director of Brand & Communications, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing organic social media strategies that grow brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive measurable business impact. You’ll lead content creation and produce high-performing graphic and video assets that support organic social campaigns. As the go-to expert on social media management, you will manage content across all organic platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice and messaging. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who can take an idea from concept to finished product—whether it’s a quick-turn short-form video or a multi-post educational series. All content you create must be deeply customer-centric, speaking directly to the needs, challenges, and goals of nonprofit professionals who are our end users. Responsibilities Social Media Strategy & Execution - Full ownership of our social media strategy, from ideation to execution, reporting, and optimization. - Own content creation and curation for LinkedIn, Meta, and other relevant platforms focused on customer-centric content that addresses the real-world challenges nonprofit professionals face, focusing on their needs rather than our products. - Maintain a consistent brand voice while driving continued growth across following and engagement. - Develop a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector and our ICP to ensure all content feels authentic, resonates with our audience, and acts as an extension of Neon One's thought leadership. - Concept and execute social-first content, graphics, and lightweight video content (e.g., explainers, ads, how-tos, testimonials) to support storytelling, product marketing, and community engagement across platforms. - Manage daily organic social operations: scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and moderation. - Leverage AI tools (Gemini, Canva AI, CapCut AI features, etc.) to scale content production while maintaining high creative standards and brand consistency. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social media initiatives with broader business goals. - Stay current on platform updates, emerging trends, and best practices to keep our social presence ahead of the curve. - Maintain exceptionally high standards for all copy and creative work—every post should be polished, error-free, and on-brand. Performance & Analytics - Monitor and analyze performance metrics such as reach, engagement, CTR, follower growth, lead gen, and content resonance. - Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations to optimize strategy and content in real-time. - Identify what's working, and what's not, and pivot quickly to stay aligned with evolving audience behavior and business goals. - Set benchmarks, create weekly reports, and communicate performance to internal stakeholders in a clear, compelling way. - Design and run A/B tests or experiments to refine post formats, messaging, and publishing cadence. Qualifications Must Haves - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. - 2-4 years of experience owning B2B social media strategy, execution, and reporting. - Background in B2B marketing is required; SaaS, nonprofit industry experience is a plus. - Proven track record of driving organic growth (audience, engagement, lead generation) on LinkedIn and Meta. - Experience using AI tools (Gemini, Canva AI, video editing AI, or similar) to increase content production efficiency and quality. - Exceptional copywriting and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and quality. - Strong customer empathy and ability to write from the customer's perspective, not the company's. - Proficiency in graphic design and basic video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut). - Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social). - Deep knowledge of platform algorithms, features, and content formats. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to act as the subject matter expert on social media marketing. - Analytical thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving. - Able to collaborate cross-functionally with marketers, creatives, and subject matter experts. Nice to Haves - Nonprofit sector knowledge or experience working with mission-driven organizations. - Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new industries and develop deep customer understanding. - Experience creating educational or thought leadership content for B2B audiences. - Background in content marketing or brand storytelling. - Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and how social integrates with broader campaigns. What Success Looks Like In Your First 90 Days - Develop a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, our customers, and their challenges through customer interviews, research, and content audits. - Audit current social performance and identify quick-win opportunities. - Establish content themes and messaging framework centered on customer needs. - Create a content calendar aligned with customer journeys and pain points. - Implement AI workflow for content creation that maintains quality while increasing velocity. In Your First Year - Grow social media following by 40-50% with improved engagement rates. - Increase social-driven website traffic by 60%. - Achieve consistent engagement rates of 4%+ on LinkedIn, 2%+ on Meta. - Produce high-quality, customer-centric content that demonstrates deep nonprofit sector understanding. - Leverage AI tools to scale content production 2-3x while maintaining exceptional quality standards. - Generate measurable lead generation from social channels. - Establish Neon One as a trusted voice in nonprofit technology conversations. You Are - Customer-obsessed: You prioritize understanding and speaking to customer needs over promoting products. - Quality-focused: You maintain exceptionally high standards for copy, design, and creative execution. - Efficient and innovative: You use AI and automation to scale without sacrificing quality. - Strategic thinker who connects social media to business outcomes. - Creative storyteller who can make complex topics engaging and accessible. - Data-driven optimizer who tests, learns, and iterates quickly. - Collaborative team player who works well cross-functionally. - Quick learner who can develop industry expertise rapidly. - Self-starter who takes initiative and owns outcomes. - Growth-minded and open to coaching and feedback Why Join Neon One? At Neon One, our values are how we show up every day. We make good happen by putting empathy and passion at the center of our work, using technology to uplift mission-driven organizations. We stand for our customers, act with care and intention in every decision, own the solution, and grow together. We innovate fearlessly, always exploring new ways to support our community and each other.
