Staff Accountant

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Tax, Legal, HR, Payroll and other cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency in the close cycle, and enhance data accuracy across accounting workflows • Assist in improving financial reporting processes and disclosures, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations • Collaborate with external auditors to provide support for the annual audit and reviews • Support the Accounting Manager with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting and close processes
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation tools, or advanced technologies to improve accounting workflows, increase efficiency in the close process, and enhance data accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to proactively identify and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in an agile, often ambiguous, environment under pressure
  • Experience in a fast-paced Software as a Service (SaaS) environment
  • Experience with financial systems including ERP (Netsuite), Numeric, Zip, Navan and/or similar systems
