• Design and build cutting-edge features that bring deep observability and performance insights to Datadog users on macOS. • Design, implement, and share ownership of macOS Agent-based integrations to collect data for system, network, and security monitoring. • Leverage macOS native system technologies to design and build comprehensive observability features integrated with the macOS platform. • Lead new feature development end-to-end, from ideation and researching Apple framework changes to implementation and deployment across diverse enterprise fleets. • Solve unique challenges at the intersection of system programming, distributed telemetry, and endpoint observability & security. • Investigate bottlenecks and write optimized, resource-efficient software to ensure deep visibility without impacting battery life or user productivity. • Influence or drive product decisions, plan upcoming high-impact projects, and mentor other engineers across macOS initiatives.

The Role We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Learn engineering team and build practice-first learning experiences used by developers around the world. You’ll be an integral part of a small, high-impact team working on one of CodeSignal’s fastest-growing product areas, including CodeSignal Learn and Cosmo (our AI Tutor). This is an individual contributor role for engineers who want to grow technically, take ownership of meaningful features, and work on products that directly impact how people learn and develop skills. Day-to-day - Design, build, and iterate on high-quality learning experiences - Review code, uphold engineering standards, and contribute to architectural decisions - Collaborate closely with Product and Design to shape what we build and how it’s delivered to users - Jump into problems as needed -- debugging, unblocking teammates, or troubleshooting with our support and customer-facing teams - Explore new technologies and approaches to expand and improve the platform. Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of professional, full-time software engineering experience (web or mobile experience preferred) - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders - Demonstrated ownership, drive, and initiative in delivering high-quality work - Ability to work full-time and collaborate with a team operating in US Pacific time (candidates in or near Pacific time preferred). Bonus Points - Experience with any part of our stack, including TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, or PostgreSQL.Familiarity with React Native or mobile development (relevant for our Cosmo mobile app). - Background in EdTech, HR Tech, or other learning or assessment products. - Prior experience at a tech startup or scale-up. Compensation In accordance with local regulations in jurisdictions where CodeSignal may hire, we are projecting an annual base salary in the range of $100,000 to $250,000. This range encompasses all seniority levels eligible for this position.
