Advanced Drivetrain Technician
EDF Renewables North America
• Assist with MCR specialized services • Assist Drivetrain Specialist in train EDF crews with crane calling and rigging procedures & qualifications. • Work independently from time to time while performing all aspects of large correctives repairs and R&R of major components. • Oversee the safe operation of EDF and contractor employees during the removal & replacement (R&R) of major components, and large corrective in-situ repairs of renewable energy assets. • Assist with projects requiring special skills, by acquiring and maintaining skills in certain areas: R&R of major components. • In-situ repair of major components. • Development of tooling and fixtures to perform large correctives repairs. • Travel to other sites to support Site managers as needed. • Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement.
Job Requirements
- Advanced Wind technician
- Experience working with current renewable energy technologies
- High school or equivalent, or up to one year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successfully complete applicable safety and technical training program for advanced wind technician
- Able to demonstrate some basic computer knowledge
- Able to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
