Commissioning Engineer

This is a remote position. This role supports both active client engagements and upcoming automation projects. Qualified candidates will be considered for immediate openings as well as future opportunities aligned to system implementations, upgrades, and expansion initiatives. Overview Serve as a critical on-site technical expert responsible for the installation, commissioning, and optimization of automation systems in live operational environments. This role ensures seamless system integration, validates performance, and drives operational readiness, reliability, and throughput during go-live and beyond. Expanded Responsibilities - Lead system commissioning and validate performance against specifications - Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues - Support system integration and startup activities - Provide technical support during go-live and stabilization phases - Perform system testing, validation, and documentation - Train client personnel on system operations and maintenance - Travel extensively to customer sites Requirements Qualifications - 3–7+ years in field service, commissioning, or automation support - Strong troubleshooting across controls, mechanical, and electrical systems - Experience with PLC diagnostics and automation systems - Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments - High travel flexibility (often 50–80%) Education Requirements: - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred - Technical certifications or military experience are highly valued - Equivalent hands-on experience widely accepted Location: Remote or based at client sites depending on project requirements.
