Description Responsibilities may include the following: - Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range. - Mentor and train less experienced design team members. - Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements. - Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats. - Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD. - Adhere to Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes. Essential skills and experience: - BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program. - 12 or more years of transmission design experience. - Proficiency with PLS-CADD software. - Experience must include preparation of scopes of work, development of conceptual designs, determination of design basis, the selection of equipment and materials, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications. - Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 500kV. - Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI. - Experience reviewing design drawings created by others. • Own telephony integration projects: Lead the technical execution of VoIP/SIP connectivity for enterprise customers and partners (PoCs through production). • Design reliable call paths: Architect integrations via SIP trunking providers, direct trunks, or enterprise telephony infrastructure—balancing latency, reliability, and security constraints. • Debug complex issues end-to-end: Troubleshoot signaling and media problems (e.g., routing, codecs, DTMF, call transfers, failover), using logs and network traces to find root cause fast. • Navigate enterprise constraints: Propose connectivity options when customers have strict firewall policies, limited exposed ports, or regulatory/security requirements. • Partner deeply with customer engineers: Work directly with telecom, network, and platform teams to align architectures, test plans, and operational procedures. • Support partner enablement: Help telephony partners integrate with Parloa, resolve escalations, and improve repeatability through patterns, tooling, and documentation. • Engineer pragmatic solutions: Build small utilities, scripts, or lightweight services when needed to validate assumptions, automate diagnostics, or close integration gaps. • Raise the bar on reliability: Define best practices for NAT traversal, resiliency, monitoring, and incident response in telephony-connected deployments. • Shape the product: Translate field learnings into clear feedback for core engineering—turning recurring integration pain into platform improvements.

• Design and implement optimization models for large-scale vehicle routing and scheduling problems (VRP). • Translate business requirements into mathematical models including variables, constraints, and objective functions. • Build and maintain production-grade optimization services such as APIs and microservices for routing and dispatch systems. • Leverage tools like OR-Tools, including CP-SAT and MILP, to solve complex combinatorial optimization problems. • Optimize performance and scalability of solvers handling high-volume, multi-distribution center routing scenarios. • Diagnose infeasibility issues and refine models to handle real-world constraints effectively. • Develop scenario planning capabilities including what-if analysis, disruption handling, and overrides with auditability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve routing efficiency and system performance. • Implement robust exception handling and fallback strategies for real-time routing challenges. • Contribute to system design, including data pipelines, orchestration, and containerized deployments.
