Role Description The Accounting Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our transportation and warehousing operations. This position is responsible for: - Managing and reconciling general ledger accounts. - Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with company policies and regulatory standards. - Overseeing bank reconciliations and check processing to maintain cash flow accuracy and support timely financial reporting. - Managing accounts receivable processes to optimize collections and support the company’s financial health. - Contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the company’s accounting functions through meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Qualifications - Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Proven experience with general ledger management and account reconciliation. - Familiarity with bank reconciliation and check processing procedures. - Experience managing accounts receivable functions. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred). - Experience in the transportation and warehousing industry or a related logistics sector (preferred). - Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) (preferred). - Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms (preferred). - Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is a plus (preferred). Responsibilities - Perform daily general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. - Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify cash balances and resolve discrepancies promptly. - Process and verify checks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and timely payments. - Manage accounts receivable activities including invoicing, payment application, and follow-up on outstanding balances. - Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end and year-end closing processes and financial audits. • Manage the preparation and timely filing of SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements and other required filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL tagging. • Prepare or review supporting schedules for financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections. • Prepare disclosure checklists and tie-out documentation for SEC filings. • Maintain the reporting calendar and ensure timely execution of deliverables to meet deadlines. • Lead the review process with legal, external auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment. • Drive continuous improvement across the reporting function: streamlining processes, simplifying disclosures, and implementing best practices. • Help establish and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting. • Assist in preparing internal management and investor reports, as well as materials for the Audit Committee. • Support regulator inquiries and information requests, as needed. • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas of risk and improvement. • Partner closely with executive leadership, legal, investor relations, and auditors to deliver high-quality reporting. • Promote a culture of learning, ownership, and operational excellence within the controllership team and broader finance. • Research and assess new accounting standards and SEC requirements, translating complex guidance into practical application. • Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and cross-functional teams as needed. • Support ad-hoc financial reporting initiatives and other strategic projects as the company scales.

• Provide financial analytical assistance and oversight to the accounting functions • Support the planning, implementation, and oversight of TheKey’s financial strategy • Manage day-to-day close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and preparation of internal and external financial statements • Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness • Review general ledger activity, including journal entries and supporting documentation • Lead the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met • Assist with the development of accounting policies, perform technical account research, and implement new accounting standards • Ensure financial records and reports comply with reporting standards and internal policies • Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and process improvements • Support external audit processes and related deliverables • Develop and report metrics and KPIs for inclusion in monthly financials and performance scorecards
