The Job As a Solutions Engineer supporting SkyFi’s commercial customer portfolio, you’ll play a pivotal role at the intersection of product, engineering, data providers, and revenue. You’ll help customers turn satellite imagery, analytics, and geospatial workflows into real solutions that solve real problems. What You’ll Do - Serve as the technical lead throughout the customer lifecycle, supporting sales, onboarding, and ongoing account growth. - Translate customer use cases into clear technical requirements and solution architectures grounded in SkyFi’s platform, APIs, data products, and partner ecosystem. - Build and deliver demos, prototypes, workflows, and sample analyses. - Guide customers in selecting datasets across EO, SAR, IR, RF, HD video, and 3D. - Support proposal development, RFP responses, and technical evaluations. - Diagnose customer challenges creatively and efficiently. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap direction. - Produce documentation, tutorials, guides, and onboarding playbooks. - Deliver training sessions and workshops. This role reports to: Chief Revenue Officer What We Are Looking For - A technically fluent communicator who can shift between business outcomes and spatial/technical detail. - Someone energized by solving complex real-world problems. - A customer focused teammate who can illustrate what’s possible with satellite imagery. - A builder who creates repeatable processes and scalable solutions. - A creative thinker who connects data, software, and domain expertise into value. Qualifications - 5-10+ years experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, geospatial analysis, remote sensing, or similar. - Strong understanding of remote sensing fundamentals and geospatial workflows. - Proficiency with QGIS, ArcGIS, Web mapping services or similar. - Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, and basic scripting (Python preferred). - Ability to design technical solutions and communicate tradeoffs clearly. - Experience supporting enterprise customers and presenting solutions. Nice to Haves - SAR experience or multi-sensor fusion knowledge. - Familiarity with commercial industries (energy, infrastructure, ag, insurance, finance). - Startup or imagery-provider experience. - Hands-on AI/ML geospatial workflow exposure. - Cloud-native geospatial architecture understanding. - Ability to build visualizations or dashboards quickly.
