Location: US-based, must be legally authorized to work in the US Annual Salary: $145,000 Role Overview The Director of DSP Engineering is a pivotal leadership role responsible for leading the development and optimization of our cutting-edge Demand Side Platform. This role demands a unique combination of deep expertise in real-time bidding (RTB) systems, extensive experience in Go (Golang) backend development for high-throughput applications, and a proven ability to design and deliver intuitive user interfaces for complex data visualization and campaign management. You will act as a strategic partner to internal teams, translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive revenue and client success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem and a passion for driving innovation in ad tech. Beyond the technical roadmap, you will champion a high-performance culture by mentoring our engineering talent and building a sustainable, inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities DSP Architecture & Development: · Design and architect scalable, high-performance DSP systems for real-time bidding and campaign management. · Optimize bidding algorithms and strategies to maximize campaign performance and ROI. · Lead the development of robust and efficient data pipelines for processing large volumes of advertising data. · Implement and manage fraud detection and brand safety features. Go (Golang) Backend Development: · Architect and develop high-throughput, low-latency Go-based backend systems for real-time bidding and data processing. · Design and implement APIs for seamless integration with ad exchanges, data providers, and third-party systems. · Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability of backend systems. User Interface (UI) Development: · Lead the development of intuitive and user-friendly campaign management, reporting, and analytics interfaces. · Design and implement data visualization tools to provide actionable insights into campaign performance. · Ensure a seamless user experience across various platforms and devices. Team Leadership & Mentorship: · Led and mentored a team of DSP and software engineers. · Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. · Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members. Cross-Functional Collaboration: · Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and drive innovation. · Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. · Work with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support. Industry Knowledge & Partnerships: · Stay current on the latest trends and technologies in the programmatic advertising industry. · Maintain strong relationships with ad exchanges, data providers, and other industry partners.
Job Requirements
- 20+ years of software development experience, focusing on high-performance backend systems.
- Extensive experience in Go (Golang) backend development, with a proven track record of building scalable and reliable systems.
- Strong UI development skills, with experience in modern UI frameworks.
- Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including RTB (Real-Time Bidding), DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), SSPs (Supply-Side Platforms), and ad exchanges.
- Experience with real-time bidding algorithms and strategies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific DSP platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of data science and machine learning techniques for ad optimization.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Residential Solar Design Engineer to join JobEngine, a fast-growing company providing technology and services to the residential solar industry to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and code-compliant CAD designs for residential photovoltaic (PV) solar systems.
