Job Description
SDE2
Ostium Labs
Ostium is on a simple mission: make it possible for anyone with a digital wallet to trade stocks, commodities, currencies, and crypto with full transparency. No brokers, no freezes, no hidden spreads. We’re replacing the opaque, offshore brokerage model with a transparent, permissionless trading stack built onchain. Every trade, deposit, and withdrawal is verifiable through open, auditable code. We’ve raised $27.9M+ from General Catalyst, Jump, LocalGlobe, Susquehanna (SIG), GSR, Alliance DAO, Soma Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, Meltem Demirors, and others. SDE2 (Delhi / Full-Time) We're hiring a mid-level engineer (3–5 years experience) with strong Go and TypeScript chops. You'll work across the tech stack in backend and infra services, wherever the work needs doing. We don't want someone who waits for tickets. We want someone who sees problems, takes ownership, and ships solutions. Responsibilities - Work across the stack — backend services and infra — wherever the work needs doing - Design, build, and maintain production services in Go and Typescript - Own features end-to-end from design through deployment and monitoring - Write clean, well-tested code and maintain engineering standards through code reviews and CI/CD Requirements - Go and TypeScript proficiency in production environments. - Comfortable with APIs, databases (SQL and NoSQL), containerized deployments, and writing well-tested code. - You should be able to context-switch between languages, frameworks, and layers of the stack without friction. - Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and software design. Nice to have - Experience testing across multiple chains or L2s. - Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks (Detox, Appium). - Basic scripting ability (JS/TS or Python). - Experience with CI-integrated test pipelines. Benefits - Competitive compensation package - Opportunity to work with cutting-edge blockchain technology - Collaborative environment with highly skilled team members - Flexible work arrangements - Professional development opportunities High agency. You don't need to be told what to do — you figure it out. You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. You're a generalist who'd rather learn a new stack in a week than stay in your comfort zone. You communicate clearly, move fast, and care about the craft. If this sounds like you, reach out.
