• Diseñar e implementar arquitecturas basadas en microservicios y eventos. • Desarrollar y evolucionar servicios backend en Java y Spring. • Diseñar e implementar pipelines CI/CD y procesos de automatización. • Definir y desplegar infraestructuras mediante Infraestructura como Código. • Participar en el diseño de soluciones cloud-native sobre AWS y Azure. • Implementar soluciones de integración mediante APIs REST y plataformas de streaming (Kafka). • Definir buenas prácticas de arquitectura, calidad de código y observabilidad.

Job Requirements

  • Experiencia sólida en Java y ecosistema Spring (Spring Boot, MVC, Data, Security).
  • Experiencia en arquitecturas de microservicios y arquitecturas event-driven.
  • Conocimiento de CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD o similares).
  • Experiencia con Terraform o herramientas de Infraestructura como Código.
  • Experiencia con Docker y Kubernetes.
  • Experiencia trabajando en entornos cloud (AWS y/o Azure).
  • Experiencia con Kafka / Confluent o plataformas de streaming de eventos.
  • Conocimiento de APIs REST, OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Experiencia con herramientas de testing y calidad de código.

Here’s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Cloud Engineer II is a technical role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based solutions and accelerators to support consulting and delivery projects or programs. This individual will work closely with architects and delivery teams to develop robust, secure, and scalable cloud solutions on AWS that drive value for clients and align with enterprise modernization objectives. The role focuses on hands-on technical tasks and solution engineering, with minimal delivery support responsibilities. This role may require occasional travel, such as a kickoff week for a long engagement. Key Responsibilities: • Receive requirements from architects and translate solution patterns into high-quality, maintainable code. • Implement a wide variety of cloud architectures using infrastructure as code • Develop, test, and deploy modular accelerator code, where applicable, to streamline project implementation and enhance client value. • Integrate security, networking, and observability features into each component as specified by solution designs. • Leverage GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and automation tools to deploy complex cloud architectures efficiently. • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement. • Apply flexible application logic and feature enhancements to base patterns from open-source or internal repositories. • Rapidly learn and apply new patterns and technologies to meet evolving solution requirements. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles. • 3+ years’ experience working with AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, and security. • Deep experience with infrastructure as code using at least one of: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or AWS CDK using Node.js. • Strong scripting skills in Python and/or TypeScript. • Experience with vibe coding using Kiro, Cursor, or Claude. • Experience with source code management and CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, and CodeBuild. • Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and networking components. • Experience with containers (ECS, EKS, OpenShift) in both Windows and Linux environments. • Understanding of observability tools and implementing monitoring solutions in AWS environments. • Strong knowledge of IAM and security implementations in cloud environments. • Experience with AWS Lambda, Fargate, and development of serverless workloads. • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them to real-world problems. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with architects and other technical team members. • Associate level AWS certification (Solutions Architect, CloudOps Engineer, or Developer) Desired Qualifications: • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or solution delivery. • Professional level AWS certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or specialty) • Demonstrated ability to author Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts. • Experience implementing automation in production environments using Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, or cloud-native tools. • Familiarity with at least one virtualization technology such as VMware, OpenStack, or OpenShift Virtualization. • Familiarity with enterprise AWS services such as Organizations, Control Tower, Transit Gateways, and Direct Connect. • Demonstrated success in deploying secure, scalable, and highly available distributed systems.
