Underwriting Technical Assistant

About the Role The Technical Assistant role primarily performs new business entry, renewal prep, policy change, and various other processing tasks to support Donegal’s independent agents and underwriters. High volume, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to handle a wide range of tasks on any given day. Reporting through Donegal’s Underwriting Services Department, this role is part of Small Commercial Operations and provides a career development path in Commercial Lines for those who excel. Responsibilities and Duties - Completes manual new business entry for various Commercial lines of business - Enters and processes manual policy change transactions for all Commercial lines of business - Performs review and pricing adjustment of low complexity Small Commercial renewals - Processes various mid-term policy transactions - Provides timely, courteous, and quality customer service to internal and external partners by meeting specific transaction-level SLAs - Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must Qualifications and Skills - High school or GED equivalent - Experience in processing-related roles is a plus - Previous insurance or related work experience is not required, but is a plus Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. The specific offer will vary based on an applicant's education, qualifications, professional experience, skills, abilities, and any applicable designations/certifications. The posted pay range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience. The pay range may also be adjusted based on an applicant's geographic location. The base pay is just one component of Donegal's total compensation package for employees. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
