Associate, Cigna Ventures - Remote

We are seeking an Associate to join Cigna Ventures, the strategic venture fund of The Cigna Group. This highly motivated self-starter will support the team in a variety of capacities across sourcing, evaluating and executing investment opportunities, engaging portfolio companies, and overall fund administration. Additionally, the Associate will interact extensively with internal business leaders and key stakeholders across The Cigna Group to drive strategic alignment and post-investment execution. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Pipeline - Proactively identify new investment themes and develop/maintain relevant strategic theses to guide sourcing efforts - Develop strong relationships across The Cigna Group to understand strategic priorities and initiatives - Own and improve data-driven processes for managing our deal pipeline - Qualify opportunities according to Cigna Ventures’ criteria via initial contact, data gathering/assessment, and establishing relationships with founders Due Diligence - Evaluate and assess information from potential companies and internal/external experts - Lead key parts of rigorous investment diligence (e.g., market, financial and valuation analysis) - Draft highly polished investment memos and other materials Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree - 3+ years of relevant experience in consulting, venture capital, and/or investment banking (background in healthcare services preferred) Skills and Competencies: - Detail-Oriented: self-starter with ability to successfully operate in a fast-paced, complex environment - Critical Thinking and Intellectual Curiosity: superior research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities - Highly Collaborative: successfully operate across multiple work streams and levels of leadership - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to quickly gather and synthesize information into clear, concise, and actionable messaging. - Ability to build meaningful relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders About Cigna Ventures: Cigna Ventures is the strategic venture fund of The Cigna Group Corporation, a leading global health service company with more than 190 million customer relationships in more than 30 countries. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 114,100 - 190,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
