Position Overview The CVS Health Aetna Enterprise Delivery team is looking for an innovative thought partner who has both a scrum master and project manager skillset to serve as a key contributor on critical technical programs. This role will require an out-of-the-box problem solver who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning, self-motivated, results-oriented, and high-energy who can easily function in a high demand, performance driven environment. - Carry out and facilitate Scrum events, removing impediments, promoting collaboration, supporting the Product Owner, and driving continuous improvement. - Ensure the effective implementation of the Scrum framework, creating a conducive environment for the team’s success, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. - Experience in applying and adapting project management techniques when applicable where you will support the planning, coordination and tactical execution of IT projects across business and functional areas. Position Summary The Scrum Master will be responsible for operating an agile based SDLC for a project or application/domain team consisting of development and business resources in an implementation of large, complex technology and business-oriented projects. They will also be responsible for the coaching/mentoring of existing development & business managers/leads on this methodology as it is implemented and used during the project development life cycle. What you will do: - Maintain process documentation - Ensure the development and business teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility - Utilize Agile tools for managing day to day scrum activities - Handle various responsibilities to facilitate the scrum process and support the scrum team. - Coach team members on agile values, principles, and practices to help stakeholders and product owners understand the benefits of adopting an agile mindset. - Interface with teams, stakeholders, and external stakeholders to serve as a buffer to potential obstacles. - Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs - Develop actionable insights from analytics and report on team productivity, velocity, and quality. - Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice. Support the development managers and project leads as necessary. - Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information - Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition, identifying and removing impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal, facilitate discussion and conflict resolution - Empower the teams to self-organize and improve the productivity of the teams in any way possible - Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially shippable - Participate in the organization and planning of the development schedule based on methodology that has been developed to create a cohesive plan with an identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages the agreed project plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters - Adapt project plans, schedules, and resource forecasting as required throughout the project to respond to emerging requirements, outside dependencies and risks This team operates primarily based on the Eastern Time Zone. Required Qualifications - 6-10+ years of work experience - 2-5+ years of experience as Scrum Master and/or Project Manager - Adept at problem solving and decision-making skills - Adept at collaboration, communication and teamwork - Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills - Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills - Scrum Master Certification Preferred Qualifications - Project Management Certification - Experience in Healthcare industry - Understanding of software development - Scrum Master experience with teams working on complex large-scale applications - Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as CA Rally, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc. - Understanding of resource allocations, forecasting, and budgeting Education Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent experience Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $83,430.00 - $166,860.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
