Data Analyst (REMOTE)

If you want to be part of an inclusive, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization, apply now.  We are currently seeking a Data Analyst (REMOTE) to join our team! This role is full remote and can be based anywhere in Canada.   Job Responsibilities: - Perform detailed data analysis to support large-scale transformation and migration initiatives. - Analyze complex data structures across multiple source and target systems. - Develop and maintain data mapping documents (source-to-target mappings). - Write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and impact analysis. - Conduct system reconciliation between legacy and new platforms to ensure data integrity. - Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues and recommend remediation strategies. - Partner with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Support ETL validation, data migration testing, and production data verification. - Create data dictionaries, metadata documentation, and business rule documentation. - Develop dashboards and reports to communicate findings and transformation progress. - Collaborate with engineering, QA, and business teams to resolve data-related issues. Basic Qualifications: - Minimum 6+ years of experience in data analysis within enterprise environments. - Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries. - Strong experience in data mapping, data modeling concepts, and source-to-target documentation. - Experience performing system reconciliation during large transformation or migration programs. - Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.). - Experience supporting data migration, ETL, or cloud transformation initiatives. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. Degree: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field. What You’ll Do - Receive, review, cross check and analyze the event budgets assigned via Meetings & Events’ internal Project Management tool (Meeting Central). - Communicate with appropriate departments to clarify request and obtain appropriate supporting documentation as per the laid down checklist within the process. - Review and complete event close out process in accordance with policy guidelines to include data integrity, aging and SLA compliance. - Assess, analyze, and thoughtfully enter data taken from one data source to another, either via manual duplication or by means of a macro. - Reconciliation of all meeting and event spend. - Track budget items, catch errors and missing invoices for follow up with Suppliers / Vendors. - Supports continuous alignment with M&E policies and turnaround time and works closely with the Meeting planners. - Supports resolution on issues and reconciliation errors to ensure Event closures on time. Com or other graduates with Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in data entry, financial reconciliations, P2P operations, or Account Receivables Management are preferred. - Good communication and directive skills in English & Spanish (spoken and written) to support global teams and potentially clients and suppliers. - Customer service excellence. - Reasonable proficiency in MS Office productivity tools such as Excel. - Experience working in the Event Management industry a plus. - Must be willing to work virtually. - Must be willing to work in EMEA shifts.
