Title: Librarian Part Time Location: Laredo TX United States $25.00 Hourly Job Type Part-Time (19 hours or less per week) Job Number This Part-Time Librarian position works no more than 19 hours per week. The Librarian provides information services to students, faculty and staff members, administrators, and community users. Performs technical duties requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Develops, maintains, and provides access to and instruction in library resources and information. Understands the importance of information literacy in developing student learning in an acacemic institution. Maintains confidentiality of all information, must work flexible hours to include nights and weekends. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities - Assists the Interim Director of Library Services in carrying out the established objectives of the library. - Develops, implements, and assesses library instruction services supporting interdisciplinary research and discovery. - Serves as a liaison for faculty and instructional departments and librarians to assist in coordinating collection development, accreditation, and policy making. - Using appropriate technologies, plans, develops, and organizes a variety of general and subject-oriented research guides and other instructional resources that maximize student learning, promote information literacy and student success initiatives, and specific programs or course research needs. - Initiates and maintains professional working relationships with students, colleagues, and other library users. - Supports all of the Library's Public Services functions. - Cooperates as a team member in performing any duty essential to the achievement of efficient library operations. - Performs other duties as assigned by the Interim Director of Library Services, Dean of Academic Innovation and Technology, and the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs.NOTICE: Required Documents To be considered for this position, you are required to upload your resume and unofficial transcript(s). Required: - Master's degree in Library Science. Preferred: - Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school. - Recent related experience. Post Secondary experience preferred. - Possess excellent oral and written skills. - Knowledge and skills in library technology. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with library staff, administration, faculty, students, vendors, peers, and the public.

• Drive execution of enterprise-level legal and compliance initiatives across business lines and geographies • Translate strategy into coordinated workstreams with clear ownership, sequencing, and follow-through • Embed Legal and Compliance early in growth and AI initiatives to support speed, alignment, and risk management • Establish structure around intake, prioritization, and execution of enterprise-level requests • Coordinate regulatory authority submissions and responses to agency-driven and customer audit inquiries • Build analytics to support workload visibility, prioritization, and risk tracking

• Representing the commercial insureds of a prestigious and financially stable commercial insurance carrier • Preparing and trying high complexity, high exposure Maryland and District of Columbia Workers’ Compensation cases • Working directly with claims professionals providing legal analysis and advice • Preparing and filing legal pleadings and documents • Performing legal research • Preparing for and conducting pre-trial discovery • Preparing for and handling final hearings before the workers’ compensation judge • Conducting post-trial activities where appropriate

• Represent the commercial insureds of a prestigious and financially stable commercial insurance carrier • Prepare and try moderate to high complexity General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases • Perform duties encompassing all aspects of insurance defense • Conduct initial investigation and legal analysis and advice • Prepare and file legal pleadings and documents • Conduct pre-trial discovery and hearings • Handle trials and post-trial activities
