Key Responsibilities: - Lead design for Chart of Accounts and end-to-end accounting in cloud-based ERP Financials and EPM implementations, with a focus on higher education and public sector organizations, ensuring alignment with fund accounting principles, FASB and/or GASB standards, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices. - Evaluate institutions’ use of Oracle Cloud ERP and identify optimizations related to financial management and reporting, accounting, controls, and reconciliation. - Partner with finance leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the institution to translate accounting, budgeting, and financial management requirements into future-state ERP designs that support transparency, control, and scalability. - Provide functional expertise across institutions’ financial operations and accounting, including areas such as general accounting, endowment accounting, payroll accounting, research accounting, budgeting, and related financial reporting. - Collaborate with integration, conversion, reporting, finance, grants, payroll, and student or affiliate systems teams to ensure end-to-end financial process alignment. - Support pre-sales and business development activities, including contributing to solution approaches, proposals, and client presentations for higher education and public sector engagements. - Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner, bringing awareness of ERP and financial management trends, cloud transformation strategies, and vendor roadmaps (Oracle or comparable platforms). - Contribute to the development of standards, templates, and best practices to support consistent, high-quality ERP implementations across public sector and higher education clients. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - 5–7 years of experience supporting financial management, accounting, or ERP implementations for higher education and/or public sector organizations. - Demonstrated experience with FASB and/or GASB accounting standards, fund accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. - Experience working with Oracle Financials Cloud or another ERP financial system (e.g., Workday, SAP, Unit4, PeopleSoft), ideally as part of an implementation team, business analyst, or accountant. - Strong functional understanding of higher education or related business functions, including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and financial reporting. - Ability to bridge finance, accounting, and technology, translating business and regulatory needs into practical system designs. - Experience supporting or leading workshops, stakeholder discussions, and design sessions with finance and institutional leadership. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with clients and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of consulting staff, particularly in public sector and higher education finance domains. - Proven ability to support multiple concurrent initiatives across varying scopes and timelines. - Willingness to travel up to 50%, as needed, to support client engagements and project teams. - Flexible living locations in the U.S. The estimated base salary range for this job is $145,000- $170,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $166,750 - $212,500. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. Role Description The Senior Loss Mitigation Underwriter will be responsible for underwriting loss mitigation applications in accordance with Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines while following company’s policies and procedures under general supervision. Makes sound underwriting decisions and ensures that all decisions meet legal and policy requirements. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00 an hour. The Senior Loss Mitigation Underwriter level is the senior level role in the job family and generally handles the most complex underwriting files while assisting in the training and growth of junior underwriters. - Perform a thorough analysis to ensure the quality of each loan and to determine compliance with Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines. - Conduct Verification of Income (VOI). - Calculate customer’s front and back-end debt to income ratio. - Verify occupancy, hardship and income. - Apply payment waterfall to determine workout eligibility (repayment plans, forbearances, loan modifications or liquidation options). - Assist in the processing and development of loans acquired from prior Servicer. - If applicable, identify the type(s) and amounts of liquid assets the borrower holds. - Determine and communicate needed conditions to properly document the file (reason for default letter, updated pay stubs, bankruptcy papers, etc.). - Complete system tasks as required to maintain compliance with Treasury, Company and Investor guidelines. - Document final decision and update system of record. - Function as the subject matter expert for Loss Mitigation underwriting. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Four (4) plus years of underwriting experience or servicing/loss mitigation.
