Senior Accounting Manager

• Reporting to the Senior Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager will play a central role in running day-to-day accounting operations and helping build the financial infrastructure of a fast-growing consumer brand. • Work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional partners on reporting, margin improvement, operational efficiency, and compliance. • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. • Oversee AP, AR, payroll, inventory accounting, and general ledger management. • Ensure the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet, including revenue recognition, accruals, and expense mapping. • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and analyses for key stakeholders. • Deliver timely, accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting with clear, actionable insights. • Build scalable systems, workflows, and documentation to support a growing and increasingly complex business. • Leverage AI and emerging technology to build automated, efficient financial processes — from close to reporting to day-to-day operations. • Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing accounting workflows. • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Retail, E-commerce, Wholesale) to ensure clean financial data across the business. • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management protocols. • Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting. • Serve as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners. • Support contract management, vendor terms, and compliance reporting (loans, leases, SBA, etc.).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- A genuine enthusiasm for leveraging AI and technology to automate and modernize finance workflows.
- Experience in retail, consumer products, or e-commerce (DTC and wholesale a plus).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and financial controls.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify required; Mirakl a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with senior leaders across the business.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment — willing to roll up your sleeves.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting and tax services. • Monitor and manage accounting and tax compliance requirements for clients, including tax and statutory filings. • Provide guidance to clients on accounting and tax best practices. • Coordinate with internal teams and local service providers to ensure timely delivery of services. • Develop and maintain excellent relationships both with clients and local service providers/teams to understand their needs and provide customized solutions with a proactive approach. • Support the development and implementation of new services and processes to improve the client experience. • Maintain accurate records of client information and ensure all documentation is up to date and complete by leverage the Systems include but not limited to Salesforce, SharePoint, FreshDesk, Microsoft Teams, and any other related software systems. • Create service tickets and sense check data provided by customers and/or local service providers/teams. Monitor the status of assigned tasks and tickets, provide regular updates where required. • Respond to customer ad hoc queries, ensure appropriate teams are involved in the event of either escalations or opportunities for service add-ons. • Build and maintain region and/or service line specific knowledge base. • Additional duties as assigned.
