Regional Director – Sales, Collaboration Security
Proofpoint
• Create and execute both strategic and tactical plans to significantly increase our revenue with the Collaboration Security product lines • Lead a team of dedicated sales specialists • Establish and maintain key customer & internal field sales leadership relationships • Develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base via creative initiatives and working closely with international regions to share best practices • Execute on a go-to-market plan to drive incremental pipeline and revenue through enablement of the field sales organization and BDR teams • Partner with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to close deals, drive pipeline and revenue • Maintain an accurate forecast of the business, including current team notes on their engagement and support of the MEDDICC process as a specialist team
Job Requirements
- Demonstrable experience successfully leading high performing field sales teams spread over a large multi-country geography
- Prior experience managing a sales team in a matrix environment
- Strong knowledge of new and current technologies and trends specifically in email security
- Strong industry contacts in the prospective customer and influencer communities
- Outstanding consultative selling skills and ability to clearly and effectively articulate the company’s value proposition
- Strong business acumen with the ability to create a business plan, build a strong pipeline, accurately forecast, a passion for enabling field sellers and SE’s as a Specialist leader and close business
- Experience building demand generation plans with marketing
- Confidence to work closely with field AVP’s on annual and quarterly goals (pipeline, ARR and engagement) for the Collaboration Security business unit success
- An understanding of the importance of the Specialist/overlay role in delivering highly targeted training/field enablement sessions, technical deliverables to sell the value of the solution and ability to communicate with field sales leadership on the importance of your model for success
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to conduct sales presentations and interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels, including willingness to demonstrate the product and its features.
