• Lead and evolve the 2LOD credit risk oversight framework, including policies, standards, and governance practices • Provide independent oversight and credible challenge across underwriting, line management, pricing, and customer lifecycle strategies • Establish clear risk appetite frameworks, limits, and thresholds for credit performance • Oversee end-to-end portfolio performance, including originations, vintages, delinquencies, charge-offs, and profitability • Ownership of identifying emerging risks, evolving trends, and portfolio concentration opportunities • Translate portfolio-level risk insights into actionable recommendations that inform strategy decisions and support key decision-making • Understanding of marketing and growth strategies impacts to ensure alignment with credit risk appetite and portfolio objectives • Review expansion strategies (e.g., new segments, channels, or products) for risk implications • Partner with Finance and Risk teams on portfolio forecasts, stress scenarios, and performance outlooks • Ensure consistency between risk appetite, business growth targets, and portfolio outcomes • Ensure adherence to consumer lending regulations and supervisory expectations (e.g., ECOA/Reg B, FCRA, UDAAP, etc.) • Oversee fair lending risk management, including model bias, segmentation, and policy impacts • Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory exams, internal audit, and risk reviews • Develop and deliver portfolio risk reporting, dashboards, and executive insights to senior leadership and risk committees • Present portfolio performance, emerging risks, and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing 2LOD credit risk oversight team • Provide direction and oversight to Director-level team members across Credit Risk Oversight, Collections/Recovery & Loss Oversight, and Fraud Risk Oversight • Foster a strong risk culture and promote effective challenge across the organization • Provide oversight of new product launches, credit strategy changes, and FinTech innovations • Ensure appropriate governance for advanced analytics, alternative data, and AI/ML models • Drive continuous improvement in risk frameworks, tooling, and analytics capabilities

Job Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio risk, or consumer lending
  • Significant experience in 2LOD, enterprise risk management, or equivalent oversight roles
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional risk initiatives
  • Deep expertise in credit underwriting, portfolio management, and risk strategy development
  • Experience within a FinTech and/or regulated banking environment (preferred)
  • Strong familiarity with model governance, loss forecasting, and stress testing frameworks (preferred)
  • Experience overseeing multi-product consumer lending portfolios (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of consumer banking regulations and supervisory expectations including ECOA / Regulation B (fair lending), FCRA, UDAAP
  • Experience interacting with regulators, internal audit, and compliance functions
