Job Description
Microsoft CSP Distributor Operations Specialist
AppXite
Company Description AppXite is one of Europe’s leading Microsoft CSP Indirect Providers (Distributors), powering a growing network of Indirect Resellers and MSPs through our proprietary partner management platform. As Microsoft continuously evolves the New Commerce Experience (NCE) and programme compliance requirements, we are expanding our Distributor Operations team to ensure flawless execution across the full partner lifecycle. As a Microsoft CSP Distributor Operations Specialist, you will sit at the heart of our partner ecosystem - owning the operational processes that keep our reseller network transacting, compliant, and growing. You will work across Partner Center, the AppXite platform, and directly with Indirect Resellers to manage subscription orders, programme compliance, EA-to-CSP migrations, and customer onboarding at scale. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Partner Onboarding & Relationship Management: - Send and manage partnership invitations to Indirect Resellers; validate MPA acceptance per CSP tenant. - Validate reseller PLA ID and region alignment in line with Microsoft’s Partner of Record (POR) enforcement rules (effective December 2025). - Configure reseller account settings, billing terms, and credit limits on the AppXite platform. - Maintain reseller profiles and manage partner lifecycle events including suspension and termination (with 30-day notice obligations). Subscription & Order Management: - Assign reseller PLA IDs as Partner of Record on all new subscription orders - mandatory from December 1, 2025; transactions without a valid POR are blocked by Microsoft. - Execute Legacy-to-NCE migrations, trial-to-paid conversions, and Extended Service Term (EST) configurations. - Manage EA-to-CSP channel transfers via the Partner Center channel transfer tool, aligning CSP start dates to EA expiry to prevent double billing. - Coordinate Azure EA-to-CSP transfers in collaboration with our direct-bill and Azure Expert MSP-certified partners. Customer Onboarding (ACP Journeys): - Generate and distribute GDAP links and CSP relationship request links. - Ensure Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) acceptance is confirmed before any CSP subscription or Azure plan is created. Pricing, Billing & Reconciliation: - Configure distributor markup (Partner Price) and FX rate rules per reseller organization. - Reconcile Microsoft reconciliation files against platform billing data; escalate discrepancies. - Validate and track active Microsoft promotions: monitor eligibility windows, confirm applicable SKUs, and ensure promotional pricing is correctly applied at the point of subscription order. - Submit and manage Microsoft exception requests to grant promotions outside standard eligibility criteria; track request status through to resolution and communicate outcomes to affected resellers. GDAP & Delegated Administration: - Coordinate GDAP relationship establishment and role assignment with Indirect Resellers, applying least-privilege principles per Microsoft’s Zero Trust framework. - Track and audit GDAP assignments across the partner network: verify correct customer-to-reseller associations, identify mismatches or orphaned relationships, and remediate incorrect customer linkages in the AppXite platform and Partner Center. - Revoke delegated access upon reseller suspension or customer offboarding. Security & Compliance - Monitor Azure fraud and cryptocurrency mining signals in customer subscriptions. - Maintain GDPR-compliant data processing and audit logs of all platform actions per Microsoft and regulatory requirements. Support & Escalation: - Communicate Microsoft policy changes, platform updates, and programme constraint changes to the reseller network proactively. - Maintain the reseller-facing knowledge base and contribute to partner enablement materials. Programme Constraints You Will Own: This role requires active management of the following Microsoft programme rules. Familiarity with these constraints before Day 1 is a strong advantage: - POR Validation (Dec 1, 2025): Valid, region-matched reseller PLA ID must be assigned on every new subscription order. Missing POR blocks the transaction. - MFA Mandatory: All users in both Distributor and Reseller CSP tenants must have MFA enforced. Non-compliance suspends transacting rights. - MCA Required: Microsoft Customer Agreement must be accepted by the end customer before any CSP subscription or Azure plan can be created. - Reseller Revenue Minimum: Indirect Resellers must maintain USD 1,000 TTM CSP revenue to retain CSP authorisation. Non-compliance triggers 90-day deauthorisation. - Same CSP Region: Distributor and Reseller must operate in the same CSP region. Cross-region transactions are blocked. - No Direct Reseller Transactions: All orders, cancellations, and upgrades must flow through the Distributor. Resellers have no direct Partner Center API access. - Distributor Liability: AppXite bears liability for all transactions placed under its MPA, including compliance failures and fraud. Qualifications What You Bring Essential: - 2+ years of experience in Microsoft CSP operations, partner management, or a related Microsoft licensing role. - Solid understanding of the CSP Indirect Model: distributor, indirect reseller, and end-customer supply chain dynamics. - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Partner Center: subscriptions, customer management, channel transfers, and billing. - Familiarity with NCE subscription types, billing cycles, and Microsoft’s Partner of Record (POR) requirements. - Working knowledge of GDAP, MCA, and MPA obligations and how they govern CSP transactions. - Strong attention to detail and comfort working within compliance-driven, process-heavy environments. - Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); confidence in partner-facing and cross-functional settings. Highly Desirable: - Experience with EA-to-CSP migration processes, including the Partner Center channel transfer tool. - Exposure to Azure CSP operations and/or Azure Expert MSP environments. - Familiarity with distributor platforms. - Understanding of Microsoft’s security compliance requirements: MFA enforcement, Partner Center security score, fraud monitoring. - Experience with multi-currency billing and FX rate management in a SaaS or licensing context. - Microsoft certifications. Additional Information What we offer: - Remote-First Flexibility: Enjoy the freedom of a fully remote role, or choose to work from our Latvia office. - Work with global Tech Leaders: Collaborate on solutions used by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Adobe, AWS, Cisco, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Lenovo, and Liquid. Your work will help shape how these companies deliver services across the globe. - Skilled, International Team: Work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We value technical excellence, clear communication, and mutual support. - Professional Development: Advance your skills with access to Microsoft certifications and continuous learning opportunities tailored to your role. - Time to Recharge: Enjoy four weeks of paid vacation per year, plus paid public holidays. - Referral Rewards: Help us grow our team - our employee referral program recognizes and rewards your contributions.
