Job Description We’re looking for a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison II (MSL II) to serve as a field-based scientific expert within oncology. In this role, you will build and maintain credible, peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals, while providing balanced, evidence-based information on our investigational and marketed therapies. You’ll play a critical role in gathering clinical insights, supporting research, and ensuring our scientific communications are accurate, compliant, and strategically aligned. Key Responsibilities - Engage with KOLs and external experts to discuss clinical data, emerging research, and disease-state insights - Support investigator-initiated and company-sponsored studies and represent the company at scientific meetings and congresses - Deliver clear, balanced scientific presentations and communicate field insights to internal stakeholders - Summarize key scientific updates and competitive intelligence to inform medical strategy and evidence-generation plans - Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to support clinical trial feasibility, investigator identification, and educational initiatives - Ensure all activities comply with SOPs, PhRMA Code, and global regulatory requirements while staying current on evolving oncology research - Contribute to internal training, medical planning, and continuous improvement of field processes Qualifications - Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) - Minimum 10 years of pharma/biotech experience, including at least 3 years as an MSL or in a field medical role - Strong understanding of oncology disease states and emerging therapies - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Ability to distill complex scientific data into clear, actionable insights *Candidate must live in the Mid Atlantic Region (Baltimore/Washington DC metro area, Southern NJ, Delaware) or be open to relocation to the Mid Atlantic Region* Additional Information Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary pay range for this role is $192,800 - $264,000. Actual compensation packages will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to depth of experience, education, skillset, overall performance and/or location. Role Description Provides suitable treatment plans for radiation therapy patients and other physics support including the measurement, calibration, and generation of radiation dose distribution, and various quality assurance procedures. - Designs treatment plans by means of computer and/or manual computation that will deliver a prescribed dose and field placement technique in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription to a defined tumor volume, with consideration to dose limiting structures. - Performs calculations for delivery of prescribed dose and documents calculation in patients chart. - Performs verification of mathematical accuracy of all calculations using established system. - Serves as a resource to the therapists working in all areas including simulation, high dose rate, orthovoltage, and treatment. - Coordinates treatment planning information between physicists, therapists, and physicians as necessary. - Reviews patients charts after planning to ensure that simulation information is correct and reproducible. - Prepare radiation oncology chart for patients with individualized treatment plans either external beam or brachytherapy. - Performs in-vivo dosimetry with TLDs or diodes and helps maintain the TLDs and diodes. - Serves as a resource to the Radiation Oncology Aide. - Assists physicists in annual/bi-yearly treatment machine calibrations. - Helps to maintain statistics of brachytherapy and intracavitary cases. - Provides input to the technical supervisor for the completion of employee performance appraisals. - Participates in panel interviews for open technical positions. Qualifications - Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in dosimetry required (w/CMD). If applicant is graduated from credited/approved CMD training program, then it counts as 1 year clinical experience. - Minimum one (1) year of experience working with linear accelerators. If applicant is graduated from credited/approved CMD training program, then it counts as 1 year clinical experience with Linacs. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. - Medical Dosimetrist Certificate.
