Location: South Africa (Remote) Salary: R400,000 – R500,000 (DOE) We are looking for a dynamic, agile Project Manager to deliver complex, high-end GRC projects for enterprise clients. Cognisys is a leading Cyber Security company specialising in Penetration Testing, GRC Consulting, and Managed Security services. About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Project Manager to spearhead the delivery of our most complex, upmarket Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programmes. Reporting directly to the PMO Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of significant engagements with enterprise clients. You will be expected to expertly manage scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring our technical delivery teams achieve exceptional client satisfaction, all while championing an Agile or Hybrid project approach. Crucially, while a background in GRC is a definite advantage, we are looking for proven Project Managers with the ability and willingness to rapidly learn and specialise in the Compliance domain. Key Responsibilities ● Programme Delivery & Assurance: Oversee and manage multiple concurrent, high-value GRC projects across the full lifecycle, from contractual initiation to final sign-off. ● Agile Leadership: Apply and advocate for Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and principles to drive iterative delivery, manage risk, and ensure transparency, adapting methodologies to fit bespoke enterprise requirements. ● Stakeholder Management: Act as the principal client interface for all programme matters, effectively managing expectations, resolving complex issues, and communicating progress to key organisational stakeholders. ● Service Context & Learning: Quickly absorb and understand the context of our compliance services, directing project teams focused on core frameworks like large-scale Vanta deployments, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 certification programmes. ● Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project impediments, commercial risks, and scope creep, developing and executing robust mitigation strategies in collaboration with the PMO. ● Resource & Financial Management: Conduct effective resource planning and budget tracking to ensure projects are profitable and delivered within defined constraints. Requirements ● 3-5+ years of professional experience managing projects. ● Proven expertise in Agile delivery frameworks and the ability to articulate and implement these methodologies in a client-facing consulting role. ● Demonstrable ability to manage and deliver multi-month, high-stakes engagements with large corporate organisations. ● A track record of success in projects requiring rapid learning and application of complex technical or regulatory knowledge. ● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, necessary for high-level client engagement and precise internal reporting to the PMO. ● Formal Project Management certification is highly valued (CSM, SAFe, PMP-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
