• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, Refinement). • Coach teams on Agile mindset, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement. • Enable delivery of digital solutions including web, mobile, cloud, integrations, and platforms. • Remove blockers and manage dependencies impacting delivery. • Work closely with the Project manager to flag any issues, report any blockers, and provide regular updates when required. • Work closely with Project manager to align on the priorities and keep a healthy backlog. • Promote DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and quality-first delivery. • Track and communicate Agile delivery metrics. • Ensure transparency and effective stakeholder communication.

• As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating ceremonies and team delivery, removing (and guiding the team to remove) blockers and impediments, assessing and coaching the team to higher levels of Scrum maturity, and building a trusting and safe environment. • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensure alignment of expectations, and facilitate collaborative decision-making. • Drive team focus on product metrics, prioritizing value and user impact over task completion. • Enable frequent, streamlined releases and guide teams and business toward predictable, incremental delivery cycles. • Optimize workflows by eliminating unnecessary processes and implementing continuous improvements. • Coach teams to foster autonomy, support professional growth, and resolve conflicts effectively. • Facilitate planning sessions, backlog refinements, and retrospectives, ensuring they are structured, productive, and inclusive. • Balance discovery and delivery efforts, helping teams manage priorities and workload efficiently.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. • Help the team maintain focus on sprint goals and commitments. • Administer and maintain Jira projects, workflows, fields, screens, issue types, permissions, and notifications. • Coach team members on Agile values, principles, and practices, including the adoption of JIRA as a tool to support these. • Encourage self-organization and accountability within the organization and accountability within the team. • Collaborate with the PMO Operations Team to develop and deliver training materials, documentation, and best practice guides. • Identify and remove blockers to help the team deliver efficiently. • Escalate risks and dependencies to internal stakeholders when necessary while protecting the team from unnecessary disruption. • Partner with Technical Leads and client-facing project managers to refine the backlog, maintain clear priorities, and understand delivery needs. • Build dashboards, filters, and reports in JIRA that provide clear snapshots of work item status for stakeholders and leadership. • Track team performance using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, throughput, etc.). • Facilitate improvement initiatives based on data and team feedback. • Encourage experimentation and iterative problem solving. • Ensure Jira is organized, clean, and aligned with organizational standards.

• Support the Information Technology (IT) Department in providing scrum master services • Apply SAFe principles to organize work and enhance team performance • Lead scrum teams through all team ceremonies • Participate in quarterly program increment planning • Ensure delivery of high-quality technical solutions in accordance with SMUD’s policies and standards • Represent the status of efforts and health of the team across the Agile community.
