• Structure and maintain development processes for semantic models in collaboration with functional areas; • Support users and stakeholders in the proper use of BI tools, ensuring autonomy and excellence in the delivery of data products; • Prepare control materials and status reports for ongoing initiatives; • Provide maintenance and monitoring of the BI environment; • Manage access, licensing and user governance on data platforms; • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for developed solutions; • Support the definition of data repositories (Data Lakes, DWH, relational and non-relational databases); • Develop data pipelines and acquisition strategies (batch/historical and streaming); • Produce training materials for business users and technical teams; • Actively participate in alignments and ceremonies with the client.

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience with semantic models and data preparation;
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and dimensional modeling;
  • Strong communication skills and ease working with business areas;
  • Experience in maintenance/support, continuous improvement and process structuring in data environments;
  • Experience in Cloud environments, preferably GCP (Google Cloud Platform);
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI);
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Looker and LookML;
  • Familiarity with data preparation tools such as Dataprep, Tableau Prep, Power Query, SSIS, among others;
  • Experience with Google Workspace (G Sheets, G Slides);
  • Knowledge of BigQuery;
  • Familiarity with UX/UI and prototyping tools such as Figma (desirable).

Role Description The Finance Analytics Engineer in the Finance department will support the delivery of data requests, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals of a streamlined data platform capable of supporting an AI-led organization. The Analytics Engineer will serve as a bridge between raw data, financial processes, and business decision making. In partnership with our IT Data Engineering team, this role is primarily responsible for developing analytics ready data models using SQL that serve as the foundation for Finance reporting, analytics, and AI enabled use cases. The ideal candidate combines strong analytics engineering fundamentals with the ability to translate finance and business questions into data solutions, including dashboards, data agents and ad-hoc analysis. This role sits within Finance, not IT, and is expected to operate as a hands on data partner to FP&A, Accounting, and other Finance users. Responsibilities - Partners with Finance stakeholders to understand business processes, analytical needs, and reporting requirements, translating them into scalable data solutions. - Collaborates with IT Data Engineering to align source systems, integrations, and transformations with Finance analytical requirements. - Leads business users in requirements gathering. - Coordinates end-to-end delivery of solutions to stakeholders – plan, prioritize, design, build and test. - Designs, documents, builds and maintains data pipelines and fact and dimension style data models aligned to Finance use cases. - Follows best practices and displays rigor and discipline regarding solution testing. - Builds reports, data agents, and dashboards on curated data models, emphasizing sustainability, consistency, and self service. - Follows data quality and visual standards to ensure data fits operational and analytic needs. - Provides ongoing production support, with the ability to effectively articulate issues to both technical and non-technical users. - Serves as a subject matter expert for data and processes within the Finance department and provides thought leadership in the cross-functional analytics space. - Presents solutions to many levels of leadership. - Explores and applies AI enabled capabilities within the analytics platform. - Embraces the opportunity to use new technology to deliver data requests. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Statistics is required, or a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - Strong SQL skills required. - Strong understanding of data transformations and data quality concepts. - Experience working with analytical data warehouses. - Experience building analytics ready data models. - Development experience within a comprehensive analytics platform, Microsoft Fabric preferred. - Experience performing unit, integration, and user acceptance testing in partnership with business stakeholders. - Experience building dashboards and reporting using a modern analytics tool, Microsoft PowerBI preferred. - Experience working with Finance teams or financial data. - Oracle application experience a plus. - Experience in the use of AI to perform job functions. - Experience working in a fast-paced environment with demanding stakeholders. - Self-driven and comfortable with taking a lead role on initiatives.
