About Lokal In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online. This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. Users gave us the insight - when one use case outweighs the others, everything else seems like noise. We listened. Like how Craigslist quietly seeded a generation of focused companies & marketplaces, we began unbundling and verticalising. Today, Lokal is a house of focused apps, many products, one mission: to connect Tier-2/3+ India to the Knowledge, opportunities, tools and experts they’ve always deserved. We now operate dozens of live apps across categories like: Edutainment & Skill Learning – practical skills and learning in regional languages (GyanTV) Matrimonial Matchmaking – hyperlocal, compatibility-first partner search (Lokal Matrimony) Agri Consulting – farmer-first advisory in local languages (AgriLokal) Local Jobs – blue- and grey-collar opportunities close to home (Lokal Jobs, Sahi Jobs) Social & Community – Place to find & post social updates (Lokal app) Emotional Well-being & Peer Support – safe spaces to talk and feel heard (Dostt & Eaze) Astrology & Guidance – instant access to trusted Astrologers via chat and voice (AstroLokal) Advisory Services – early bets in legal help, financial guidance, career counselling, and more Under the hood, Lokal is a discovery and access platform: local-language internet + deep Bharat insight+ AI. When someone opens a product we’ve built, they don’t wade through clutter; they get a straight line to what they came for. This is the story new teammates walk into: a company that started as a whatsapp group, became a family of focused apps, and kept one belief at the centre — access changes lives. We ship fast. We learn fast. We build for Bharat. We are backed by leading global and domestic investors including Y Combinator, Sony, Global Brain, India Quotient, and 3one4 Capital Role Overview : We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Script Writer (Hindi) to join our dynamic Marketing/Product team at Lokal. team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of short-form storytelling, social media trends, and audience psychology. You’ll be responsible for conceptualizing and writing engaging scripts for videos, ads, and branded content that resonate with Hindi-speaking audiences across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. Key Responsibilities - Write sharp, attention-grabbing hooks to maximize engagement and retention. - Craft platform-specific content for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other channels. - Analyse ad metrics (CTR, watch time, drop-off rates) to refine creative strategy. - Collaborate closely with video editors, designers, and creative strategists to bring ideas to life. - Translate copy ideas into strong visual narratives and impactful storytelling sequences. - Identify and adapt to emerging content and creative trends. - Simplify complex ideas into relatable and emotionally resonant content. - Utilize knowledge of transitions, camera shots, and pacing to visualize scripts effectively. - Constantly read and watch diverse content (books, short films, ads) to expand creative vocabulary and visual literacy. - Provide creative inputs during production to ensure content quality and tone consistency.

But for those who choose to commit to hard work, service, students, and colleagues, it’s an incredibly rewarding experience. Impact & Why This Matters In a world where too many students with unique learning needs are misunderstood, underserved, or lost in the system, you will be the architect of clarity and support. Every compliant, thoughtful, and individualized IEP you write is more than documentation—it’s a roadmap that ensures a student receives the support, accommodations, and belief they need to succeed. Your work translates data into action. It ensures that no student falls through the cracks due to oversight, inconsistency, or lack of precision. This isn’t paperwork. It’s life-shaping work behind the scenes—ensuring every student has a plan that truly reflects who they are, what they need, and what they are capable of becoming. Purpose You will be the force that transforms complex data into clear, compliant, and individualized plans that drive student success. Through precision, ownership, and deep understanding of both unique student needs and Special Education requirements, you will ensure every IEP reflects both legal integrity and human insight—balancing compliance with compassion, and structure with personalization. Your work will empower teachers, support families, and ultimately unlock better outcomes for students who rely on us to get it right the first time, every time. Role Overview This is a highly detail-intensive, compliance-driven, and cross-functional role where your impact is felt in every student plan, every audit, and every outcome. You will coordinate across teachers, families, and service providers to gather, interpret, and synthesize data into high-quality, state-compliant IEPs. Your success depends on precision, follow-through, and the ability to manage complexity with care. It demands extreme ownership, lightning responsiveness, and joyful persistence because when you do this work well, students receive the right services, teachers are set up to execute effectively, and families feel confident their child is supported. Core Responsibilities - Build accurate, individualized, and compliant IEPs that reflect each student’s unique needs, progress, and goals. - Transform complex student data into clear, actionable plans that guide instruction and services. - Maintain meticulous records and documentation to ensure nothing is missed and all compliance standards are upheld. - Proactively coordinate with teachers, service providers, and families to gather complete and accurate information. - Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks early and take action to resolve them before they impact students. - Uphold a consistent standard of excellence across all documentation, audits, and reporting. Essential Duties - Serve students, families, and colleagues with genuine professionalism, integrity, humility, and a white-glove mindset that makes every interaction feel personal and uplifting. - Personally own the drafting and maintenance of comprehensive, personalized, student-centered, and high-quality IEPs that meet all compliance standards. - Process student files with care and urgency, keeping meticulously detailed, organized records to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. - Foster genuine relationships with general education teachers, special education teachers, service providers, students, parents, and leaders, through consistent, reliable, multi-channel communication that results in universal understanding of a student’s IEP which accurately reflects performance, accommodations, and goals. - Partner with related service providers to ensure evaluations and services are timely, properly documented, and aligned. - Conduct audits, quality reviews, and summary reporting to maintain high standards across all documentation. - Monitor systems and workflows to ensure timely communication, compliance, and service delivery. - Engage fully in professional development, meetings, and training as both a participant and a subject matter expert, to continuously elevate your impact and the impact of other staff members on the success of special education students through vehicles like IEP documentation, accommodations, and implementation practices. - Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to strengthen quality and consistency across the team. - Embrace additional responsibilities as needed to advance our mission. Work Schedule & Expectations - Fixed schedule: 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mountain Time (Denver/America), year-round, auto-adjusting for daylight saving time. - Full-time exempt role requiring at least 40 hours per week with uninterrupted focus during scheduled hours. - Remain actively available and immediately responsive all workday via phone, chat, Zoom, email, and internal systems; colleagues must reach you in real time. - No concurrent employment or performance of this role alongside another job. - Maintain a private, professional, distraction-free remote workspace with reliable high-speed internet for video and required tools. - Consistent daily availability; absences exceeding two consecutive instructional days materially disrupt student support, engagement, and progress monitoring and generally cannot be accommodated during the instructional term. This Role Is Your Calling If: - You take pride in getting every detail right because you know accuracy directly impacts students and families. - You thrive in structured, compliance-driven environments where expectations are clear and high. - You naturally take ownership—when something is yours, it gets done fully, correctly, and on time. - You enjoy transforming complex information into clear, organized, and actionable plans. - You value both precision and purpose—understanding that behind every document is a student depending on you. - You are receptive to feedback and continuously refine your work to meet the highest standards.
