About the Role Aropa Consulting has grown rapidly over the past four years, and we are actively seeking to add additional technical capacity to our projects. This is an open opportunity to become a vetted contractor with the Aropa Commons so that we can quickly engage you in support of client deliverables. Aropa Commons is in need of a variety of skills and expertise, so please see below for the desired additions to the Aropa Commons. This role implements specific project deliverables with general guidance from the Senior Consultant for Technology and Operations, Elizabeth Otto-Wallace, and works collaboratively with the Aropa team members of the technology pillar including the CEO, Rosalind Zavras. Consulting Specialities This is a list of the types of backgrounds and consulting experience that we are hoping to engage: - Accounting/finance system evaluation and implementation (NetSuite, Intacct) - Odoo implementation and configuration, including custom development in Python - CRM evaluation and implementation (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, Bloomerang, GiveButter, Little Green Light) - Technology strategists, particularly with a background in technology tools for small- to medium-sized businesses and nonprofits - Data architects and strategists - Microsoft 365 Administrators, Intune specialists Key Responsibilities This is a list of some of the responsibilities that a technology consultant at Aropa has: - Ensuring that complex technology-focused projects develop a clear technical project plan and timeline in consultation with the client - Serving as the technical lead in your specific project, ensuring that the technical specifications are executed according to the project plan and client requirements - Facilitating and maintaining clear communication with technology pillar clients, including providing updates on progress and serving as a first point of contact for concerns and next steps - Updating Aropa’s project management systems to track tasks, milestones, notes, and budgets, and following up with project leads to ensure alignment - Upholding our values of Care and Excellence with each client interaction, including 24-business-hour response times Sample Projects Because we are looking for a variety of technical individuals, below is a list of sample projects that we have completed in the past year: - Comprehensive technology ecosystem review and roadmap: We worked with a large international organization to understand their current technology ecosystem and developed a road map towards a future state that is more integrated and human-centered - Evaluation of core infrastructure and management of implementation processes: We worked with a large fiscal sponsor to review and understand their core technologies (HR, finance, contracts) and are supporting their evaluation and implementation of new systems. - Managed and supported implementation of new accounting systems: We have worked with various organizations to structure and manage their implementation of new accounting systems (NetSuite and Intacct) - Implemented a new inventory management system for a book donation nonprofit: we evaluated and then implemented Odoo as a comprehensive inventory and program management software for a nonprofit organization that manages a large amount of book donations. Primary Purpose of the Job Supports the Go-To-Market organization by reviewing and validating deal structure, pricing, and documentation prior to implementation. This role ensures deals are accurately configured, compliant with pricing and margin guidelines, and fully documented before being submitted for setup. Serves as a quality-control checkpoint that protects margin, reduces downstream errors, and improves speed-to-revenue across all customer types. Supervisory Responsibility Does not directly supervise team members. Essential Duties - Validate all deals prior to submission for setup, ensuring accurate pricing, product configuration, customer type alignment, and approved exceptions by comparing submissions against established pricing. - Review documentation and coordinate with the Sales team to ensure proper use of pricing tools, pricing sheets, and approved workflows. - Prepare, review, and maintain all required deal documentation, including pricing workbooks, amendments, addenda, and supporting administrative paperwork to ensure completeness and accuracy. - Partner closely with Sales, Client Success, Strategy, and BSD to ensure clean handoffs and readiness for implementation for all customer types. - Identify discrepancies, gaps, or risks in deal submissions and resolve or escalate them prior to downstream processing. - Support expansions, migrations, reactivations, and package changes across all customer types when assigned. - Maintain clear audit trails and documentation within HubSpot and related systems to support tracking, reporting, and review. - Surface recurring issues and contribute to process improvements that reduce rework and increase efficiency. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all provided products, services, and client reports to ensure deal reviews are completed accurately and in accordance with defined requirements. - Lead client initiatives by working collaboratively with all departments, clearly and accurately articulating client requests. - Ensure the timely and successful delivery of multiple client projects, requests, and needs without the loss of efficiency, accuracy, or composure. - Preserve company assets by acknowledging and adhering to company policies, including established pricing, approval, and documentation requirements. - Become proficient in utilizing a variety of client-facing systems and effectively train clients on those systems. - Perform assigned daily operational tasks and special projects to improve client experience. - Stay informed of current policies and procedures. - Continued professional development through ongoing training and education. - Other duties as assigned.
