Job Description

Lead Security Officer – Rotational

NMS

• Provide oversight and support for security operations in a remote setting • Assign personnel to various posts or patrols • Interpret security rules and procedures • Supervise operation procedures and activities for a client’s security services • Develop and maintain understanding of business demands • Document complex business processes while tracking needs • Review and submit Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all reports • Prepare monthly security reports analyzing security trends • Provide security recommendations to client • Provide post orientation and training for new officers • Prepare work schedule and review Leave requests • Communicate with clients regarding security matters • Resolve irregularity reports • Perform security related investigations • Review recorded data to determine appropriate actions • Confer with various agencies for cooperation and coordination • Coordinate Post orders, updates and revisions • Be on-call during off hours • Assume role of Incident Command if required • Serves as Transportation Dispatcher

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least five (5) years of full-time professional security, law enforcement or military experience
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a directly related field
  • Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
  • Ability to obtain and pay the Alaska Guard License fee
  • Must obtain a State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire
  • Effective training skills and ability to produce specific training for each Security position designated
  • Working knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and contract specific software
  • Basic math skills
  • Pass all pre-employment contract requirements
  • Ability to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements
  • Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team
  • Ability to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision
  • Ability to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation
  • Must speak, understand, read and write English.
