Job Summary The Business Intelligence Analyst is a mid-level position with responsibility for obtaining, developing and analyzing data, prove/disprove hypotheses, and develop insights. Job Responsibilities and Duties - Collaborates with technical resources, business resources, and business owners to: 1) define specific hypothesis/questions to evaluate and analyze, or 2) gather, develop, validate and analyze data and data requirements in support of business operations. - Conducts moderately complex SQL queries and works with other data extraction, reporting and analytic tools to validate and/or develop analysis and reporting to provide insight. - Develops plans to evaluate hypothesis/questions and measure performance. - Produce and maintain models and data using a variety of corporate software tools. - Partners with business, IT and customers to ensure that the design, execution, presentation, and distribution of actionable insights or data streams can be readily implemented and meets management requirements. Job Qualifications - Minimum of a bachelor's degree in economics, quantitiative business analysis, applied mathematics, statistics, management information systems, actuarial science, or equivalent experience required. - 3+ years of experience in financial services and/or research and analytics or 2+ years of experience in the actuarial field. - Intermediate skill in using analytics tools (such as SAS, SPSS, Minitab, R, etc.) in a corporate environment. - Intermediate skill in design and execution of complex statistical modeling and testing involving linear and non-linear regression techniques (e.g. CHAID, CART, ANOVA, MANOVA, LOGISTIC, TTEST etc.) - Intermediate skill with relational databases, data warehousing, data mining and OLAP. - Experience in experimental design and impact assessment. Role Description We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst to transform complex manufacturing and operational data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation across our aerospace programs. - Work collaboratively with Corporate and Division IT, Finance, and other functional departments as assigned to gather requirements and design and implement report solutions across multiple platforms. - Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing Databricks, Power BI, and SQL based reporting solutions on a regular basis. - Manage governance and administration of reporting platforms, including user access, security controls, and data privacy requirements. - Build and maintain data pipelines and reporting infrastructure to support reporting needs, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and scalability. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to support report changes, enhancements, and issue resolution in a timely manner. - Apply change management and structured delivery approaches to gather requirements, prioritize work, and ensure successful implementation of reporting solutions. - Create and maintain documentation, including specifications, setup guides, and work instructions to support repeatable processes and user adoption. - Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding reporting errors, data issues, or system usage. - Support onboarding and training of users on reporting tools and processes as needed. - Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
