Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Create summary reports, data extracts, and other financial analyses for management and external vendors. - Pull underlying data by creating/modifying SQL queries to run in Epic's Clarity database. - Adjust query outputs in Excel, add formulas, charts, and graphs to summarize data and show underlying trends. - Link output data to other workbooks to create more complex data models if required. - Uses Visual Studio to generate appropriate output format. - Uses Excel VBA to automate reports. - Build contract models using Epic contract modeling tools. - Build contract models in Excel by querying Epic's Clarity database. - Refresh underlying claim data in contract models as contract terms change. - Build SQL templates to pull patient, claim, department, or enterprise-wide data. - Maintains and updates the templates after each Epic upgrade. - Thorough understanding of source data systems and their interaction with medical claims.
