Job Title: Project Accountant Job DescriptionThis is a contract position for a duration of 180 days, filling in for maternity leave. The role is remote, but candidates must be able to work PST hours. The position requires working Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm PST. Interviews will be conducted virtually, with two rounds: the first with the hiring manager and the second with the finance manager. The team is heavily female-led. Responsibilities - Monitor Tier 2 Supplier Invoice email submission folder and log entries. - Track and follow up with project manager approvals. - Manage email alias log items using Excel, focusing on basic functions. - Respond to supplier inquiries regarding payment status. - Execute data entry and management within the E1/Oracle system. - Assist in creating manual comprehensive invoice bundles for client submittal. - Partner with the Finance Manager to track and monitor the invoice lifecycle. - Update invoice tracker with payment information. - Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all assigned projects. - Support project financial closeout reconciliation in partnership with the Operations team. Essential Skills - Minimum 2-year degree in accounting fields or minimum 2-year experience in construction. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. - Experience with Excel, especially in invoice processing and reconciliation. Additional Skills & Qualifications - Construction experience of at least 2 years. - Confidence and ability to ask for help when needed. Work EnvironmentThe role is fully remote, working with a strong female team supporting Microsoft, handling approximately 50 projects simultaneously. The work requires no hand-holding, as candidates need to be confident in their abilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
